WR Curtis Eyes Return For Buccaneers Game - Philadelphia Eagles
The bye week is early for the Eagles this season, but it came at the perfect time for a handful of Eagles. Even though he is at the NovaCare Complex rehabbing this week, wide receiver Kevin Curtis wants to heal the knee injury that kept him out of the Week 3 win over Kansas City and get back on the field for the Buccaneers game on Oct. 11.

chill

who cares? if desean has better numbers than TO did in 04, who cares? that was 5 years ago! and its just stats. no one is sayin TO sucked that year, it was the most dominate WR performance from an eagle in all i can remember.

Owens stats...

…and some Mathematics solutions for Jibta’s benefit

Terrell Owens—1200 in 14 games in 2004= 85.7 ypg
Desean Jackson—259 yards in 3 games=86.3 ypg

86.3 × 14 = 1208

1208 > 1200

Don’t bother JIBTA with silly things like facts….

Ummmmmm...

Its a little early for realistic projections, don’t you think? Still, I’ll take DJ over TO any day, simply because DJ seems to be a good dude, and TO is and always has been an ass…

deseans a totaly different player: faster, smaller, not as physical. hell have more all around touchdowns (recieving, special teams, rushing). hes a better all around player than you-know-who in my opinion. and hes not insane

'He who must not be named'...

…that certain WR who used to play for the Eagles is now looking at the end of his career. I don’t think it’s fair to mention him when talking about a quality guy like Desean Jackson.

T.O. only stands out as the greatest ‘problem child’ of recent memory. Sure he was a good receiver, but that is how he will be remembered and it could have been very different.

I hope that he is finally realizing what he has done to his legacy and wondering what his career stats would look like now, if he hadn’t screwed up his relationship with the Eagles back in ’05.

Now that he is done producing, all he has left for the fans is the fact that he is a team-destroying joke. Like Mike Tyson, when people speak of him they they will remember what a loser he is, rather than his accomplishments.

I predict that he will be a well-forgotten, bitter drunk in 2-3 years.

I love my boy Djack.....but..

One, I think its just a tad bit early to start saying that Djack is gonna have a better season than TO did…its week 3, let’s be real here..

And…I don’t think its fair to either of them to compare the two…their games are nothing alike except for their ability to make plays..and honestly Djack is more explosive as far as speed and quickness with TO having the obvious advantage in power and the size…

Projections like this are nice…but are pretty trivial this far into the season…

However…I still think Djack is gonna have a sick season and a nasty career bleeding eagle green for years to come…Extend that contract nowwww!!!!

F@ck TO

D10 is the real deal. He reminds me of Steve Smith. For his size, he is stronger then he looks. He has broken alot of tackles and may not be as strong but he gets the job done! This guy is a winner not a whinner. He opens it up for the running game and with Celek, these guys make defenses spin their wheels. I’m still worried about the defense. Signing Trotter lets me know I was right about the defense. Still to soft in my book. Beating a weak KC doesn’t mean shi@it to me. I’m happy for to win but if we don’t sure up that middle, we will be in trouble in division.

I love Desean Jackson, kid can play for sure...

But if we’re gonna say that about Desean, than the same should hold true for Giants receivers…

Steve Smith – 122 catches for 1500 yards 11 Tds
Mario Manningham – 91 catches for 1400 yards 11 Tds

Although it would be nice, I think it’s still a bit too early…

Dude, he was just making a point...

It’s a fair one. If we project total season stats, some players will have whacked out stats. Like, Giants’ Steve Smith having 120 catches, 1500 yards and 12 TD’s? Doubtful.

Relax…

RIP Jim Johnson, best ever.

On pace?

Even if Jackson doesn’t compete with Owens in one way doesn’t mean anything since he surpasses Owens in character.
