Tony Hunt never showed anything… I’d take McCoy any day over him Hunt.
Sorry Penn State fans, but Hunt isn’t an NFL RB.
what has mccoy shown?
more to the point, when did hunt ever get an opportunity to show what he had? he had 14 carries over 2 seasons with the birds. mccoy has 40 carries, and we’re just 5 games into the season. when did hunt ever get that opportunity?
human beings, who are almost unique in their ability to learn from the experiences of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so.

Hunt
Probably didn’t get the chance because he wasn’t that good. More to the point, if he was as good as people say he is, where is he? There are many other football teams with holes at running back that could have signed him and made him the star you think he should have been but not a single one of them did, not one. This speaks volumes about his NFL ability, it just wasn’t there.
I’m a current Penn Stater, I would have loved to see him succeed, but I’m not so wrapped up in my collegiate allegiances that I’m going to over evaluate talent, you can’t do that.

He did
have that 51 yd TD run against I think Carolina in preseason if that counts

LMFAO
funniest fanpost in a while… Tony Hunt is awful… he had a clear lane into the endzone on a goalline carry in his last year here against the bears, he chose not to go through it and got stuffed…. he has ZERO VISION.
My "t" and "y" buttons are messed up so don't bitch at me about misspelling, I'm just saying.

Dumb Post
McCoy is productive, Hunt wasn’t. There was a reason he didn’t get on the field.
Also, Weaver could be that bruising back, but it doesn’t matter what you have in the backfield if Andy refuses to run

Agree
Doesnt matter if we have 3 brandon jacobs in the backfield, if andy reid is gonna call pass, those 3 jacobs wont do shit. its more of a matter about playcalling then about the players themselves.
If I'm goin' to hell, you're coming with me...
Absolutely!
I’ve been a Reid defender but to run the ball 14 times just doesn’t make sense. The Raiders one strong point (on paper) has to be their secondary…so run the damn ball. It’s not like we were down 28 points and trying to come back. You can’t compare McCoy with Hunt. McCoy is a legitimate starting RB. Either way it’s irrelevant….when you look at the start Buckhalter has had w/Denver before his injury you have to wonder what the hell Reid is thinking when it comes to the ground game.

We averaged
4.8 yards per run compared to 4.2 yards per pass attempt yesterday.
Andy threw like we were losing big and had to make up ground…ONE F’ING TD and we’re ahead!!!! We weren’t like the Giants who fell into a 14-0 hole in the 1st.
ONE consistent drive and the game was ours…ONE DRIVE!!!!!

well at least the Phillies are playing real good!
"The punt to DeSean Jackson. The punt. Short, Jackson takes it at the 32. Looks for running room, reverses the field. He's at the 40. 50, 45, 40, 35, 30, He's gonna go!
"McNabb in the shotgun again. McNabb takes the snap, fakes, he's back, he's looking, he is going deep for DeSean Jackson, who races, has it! TOUCHDOWN!!! DeSean Jackson!!

This post is just a joke, right?
Sometimes it's just fun to take the family for a spin around the lake in the old boat. Even if it's not your family or your boat, and they're screaming for you to stop.

This has to be a joke
Tony Hunt averaged 1.8 yards per carry how would that have helped us? I understand Penn State homerism but there is a reason Tony Hunt is jobless and Ryan Moats isn’t … just saying.
