Trade for merriman

Im thinking after the loss to the Raiders we should trade for shawne merriman.

How about Kevin Curtis, Reggie brown and a 3 round pick?

Would the chargers take this deal?

We need to trade for a linebacker since ours now cant handle the raiders how woude they do against the giants or cowboys.

If not merriman what other linebackers are out there that we could possibly trade for?

if not suggest something else that you think that the chargers would take.

the only problem in our linebacker corp is middle linebacker because stewart bradley is gone for one season, gocong is underrated he makes tackles and rushes the passer well, needs to work on coverage, jordan has stepped up his game significantly from last year, stuffs the run and plays coverage well.

well guys...

I know my name is birds’n’raiders…but first and formost, I am an EAGLES fan. I have grown up an eagles fan, I just happened to notice I liked the grittiness of the Raiders 3 years ago, even though they sucked. This game was pathetic. I expected a very one sided game…and I expected Zach Miller to beast it up. I did not expect the horrendous protection from the JV o-line we sent out today. I expected Andy to forget about the run game. I did not expect Andy to forget about the wildcat to change momentum. I expected 5 to have an average, not great game. I did not expect the inaccurate, poorly timed, and generally bad looking performance of today.

we already got a mlb in bradley
weak side is ok with jordan
and strong side with gocong is questionable
some games he looks rly good like today and some …….. terrible

but i did learn...

that our linebackers are worthless. We are going to trade for one in the next day. Also, i did not expect the Raiders to blitz, and clearly neither did Marty. But really, could Nick Cole and MJG possibly play worse than they did today. We need Herremans and Stacey back and healthy.

wow wata fukin joke. The eagles went into this game thinking they had it won before they even stepped on the field on they got caught overlookin they raider. Sure Mcnabb also sucked as well as the LBs but this loos is on the whole coaching staff. How the fuk do u get outcoached by a guy who should be in the UFC instead of coachin the raiders. unfuckin real.
I dont think Merriman is the answer but i also know our linebackers blow. Boy do i miss Stew right now. Merriman is just a another big name injury prone player who is overrated. As far as Trotter………..im not even gonna get into that. If this team wants to have any chance at makin the playoffs there gonna hav 2 figure out sum kinda trade.

But Andy. Our linebackers are terrible but they come at a cheap price and that’s what Andy likes. We could have easily signed Leroy Hill or traded for Derrick but know here comes and with his bs talk “We think we got a good group of guys”. How about a great group Andy? Good is the enemy of great. Learn Andy, the game starts in the trenches, its not won there.

HUH?

I don’t understand, wtf are you guys talking about linebackers?…we scored 9 points!!!! Maybe not sending out Jerimiah Trotter on a 3-10 with 2 mins in the 4th quarter might solve your perceived linebacker problems. In my opinion, we lost b/c Asante Samual might be THE worst tackling cornerback in the league, and we ran the ball 14 times. 14 times!!!!?

Agreed

If we hold an opponent to 13 points we SHOULD win every week. However the LBs haven’t been great and Derrick would be a good fit.

However, what can we fix in that offense? The issue is the O-line, they need to get healthy and gel.

that whiffs on so many tackles it’s not funny but gets a couple of picks and all is forgiven…he’s been doing it all season and I don’t think he is worth the money

Id Take Merriman

I like him and dj….Merriman would help stop the run and defenatly improve the non exsistent pass rush……we cant gererate any pressure unless we blitz…..if our front 4 can get pressure that leaves more ppl in coverage to help our coverage challenged lbs…….
