Brady Quinn...

I am not sure if everyone knows this but Brady Quinn just put his Cleveland home up for sale today. This could or could not be a sign he is about to be traded. Just for fun lets pretend Quinn is about to be traded to somebody, anybody.. Who would it be and why? Would you want him in an eagles uniform? Would you want him in the NFC east? Any other thoughts?

I think he can only be traded to a few places, they are the:

49ers; The 49ers could use a possible franchise QB, S. Hill is ok but nothing more. Quinn could be a definant upgrade and the 49ers offense has some young weapons he can take advantage of.

Seahawks; they need someone for when Hasselbeck retires, he's constantly hurt and Quinn could go into a decent situation when Tim leaves.

Miami; I'm not 100% sure Henne is the future of this franchise, he has done well so far but its not to late for the Dolphins to commit to another young QB.

Chief; Quinn most definitely has more talent than Cassel.

Panthers; INT machine Jack Delhomme may be on his way out due to his "amazing" play..

I would not however want to see him in eagles green, Kolbs better in my opinion...

Remember, I'm not trying to start a "controversy" I was just up really late, and had nothing better to do and saw something that could show Quinn may be traded on ESPN so I just posted this for "shits and gigs" for lack of better words.

meh...

I honestly don’t care where he goes. From what I’ve seen of him he is god awful. He wont be a substantial upgrade to any team in my opinion. In other news its seems as if we may have picked up the best qb in the 2007 nfl draft…oh yeah, and in other news it seems as if espn is reporting that TO might be traded

Jaws was saying the eagles were smarter by trading down

and getting Kolb… He even said he(kolb) will be the better QB of the 3

thats Cobb on Kolb crime if you ask me... as said by yophillybro

49ers

make the most sense in my mind.. He’s alot better than Hill.

no team but the raiders makes sense

and even then, I dont think crazy Al will bench Jamarcus, Hasselbeck can still play and he’s got at least 1-2 more years IMO (barring anoother injury), and Delhomme just got a pretty big contract with around 20 mil garanteed i believe… anyways I would absolutely looove him in the Beast, I think he’s awwwful…

He's not fast enough

to play for the raiders.

Ya I think either Oakland, Carolina or...Washington

Oakland it would probably be a 3rd and Greg Ellis for Brady

Ellis gives Defense help and 3rd for insurance.

Carolina 3rd, and Matt Moore

Matt Moore has potential and a 3rd makes up for possible lack of talent.

Washington: Jason Campbell and a 5th

I think Snyder is nutty enough to make the trade plus I think Campbell is greatly underrated.

by NJEagle on Oct 14, 2009 1:23 AM EDT reply actions

i agree with you on the Campbell being underrated point. I don’t think he’s Washington’s problem.

Campbell is pretty good IMO

the dude has got to be crazy football smart to have like 7 different Offensive schemes in 8 years(im pretty sure that includes college)… Quinn isnt at the same level as Campbell but I think the Redskin’s pretty much want to oust poor Campbell… its sad, i kinda think Campbell has the tools to be the redskins savior.

As a huge n.d. fan

i love quinn, despite his professional drop off. i would be ecstatic if he were traded out of that tanking franchise. but as much as i like quinn, i don’t think there’s any way he goes to the cheifs because as of right now he is not as good as cassell.
I believe the seahawks make the most sense. He and John Carlson could reconnect when hasselbeck retires or gets injured. (Fasano is also in MIA which makes for some chemistry, but i don’t think he’ll go there)
Raiders make some sense but are they willing to shut the door on Russell? (I would have shut the door already, but I dont think they will)
Carolina makes a lot of sense as well because, well, Jake blows and so do his back ups.
Eagle green? no chance in hell.

Andy hates Quinn,

Quinn and Kolb were in the same draft, Andy had Kolb rated above Quinn. There is no interest in him.

Shaun Hill is better than Quinn

Seahawks; they need someone for when Hasselbeck retires, he’s constantly hurt and Quinn could go into a decent situation when Tim leaves.

Did anyone see Seneca Wallace plays this year? And they drafted Mike Teel.

Miami; I’m not 100% sure Henne is the future of this franchise, he has done well so far but its not to late for the Dolphins to commit to another young QB.

After Henne’s MNF performance this would surprise me and they just drafted Pat White, and traded for Tyler Thigpen.

Chief; Quinn most definitely has more talent than Cassel.

That is laughable at best what has Quinn done? Cassel is most definitely better than Quinn. Has Quinn had a 3,000 yard season? has Quinn thrown 21 TDs? don’t argue weapons either you still have to make the throw.

Panthers; INT machine Jack Delhomme may be on his way out due to his “amazing” play..

This is very possible they don’t have a QB with starting experience under the age of 30 and he wouldn’t be a bad backup plan.

Similar contracts, both guys need a fresh start… Now I’m done!

Maybe they aren't such bad QBs?

Transition to the NFL is hard enough for a rookie. When you start on a young, inexperienced qb on a team that is a piece of shit like the Brown’s or Raiders; how much of it is their fault? If Jemarcus went to the eagles, pats, colts, or now dolphins and jets would he be a completely different athlete? These franchises actually develope their young players and put them in high spirited environment.
Teams like Oakland and Cleveland are shitty teams with shitty coaches and players that couldn’t give a fuck bc theyve sucked forever and no one cares, plus most are high draft picks with all kinds of guaranteed money. Look at what Rex Ryan and Parcells have done for ailing franchises and look at what Al Davis has done with top 10 picks for the like decade.

JeMarcus would be horrible if you gave him an all pro team.

I read somewhere on this blog before

That it’s amazing that 3 years later, Kevin Kolb would turn out to be the best QB from that draft. Quinn and Russell may one day turn out to be good, but clearly Kolb was correctly evaluated as being better than those two. Stanton (MSU) and Beck (BYU) are nothing. Trent Edwards (Stanford) has shown some promise; he’s probably as good as Kolb.

Not my divison, Not my problem

Unless he goes to Redskins, then he’ll be just another victim. As for the 49ers, they don’t need a QB. Just let Nate Davis grow for another year or two and he will be an eventual monster. The kid has all the skills, but he just needs to sit and learn for a little while. Remember he was considered to be one of the best QBs coming out this year till the “draft experts” decided no since he is not from USC or has the last name Stafford.

nate davis

i wonder who’s reading his playbook to him.

"Eagles fans are a passionate group who love their team," said McNabb, "if not the actual players. It's not like winning a Super Bowl before the first month of the season is the hardest thing they've ever asked of me. That'd be all those times they asked me to go kill myself."

we must all consider what kind of QB may be available next year for teams with bad QBs.

McCoy
Bradford
Kolb or McNabb and/or Vick

If a team is looking for a QB, why trade for Quinn when you can get one of these other guys. Or course the accessability of these guys is important, a team may not draft high enough for McCoy or Bradford. But if you needed a QB, wouldn’t you inquire on McNabb before Quinn. Its seems like Quinn is gonna be a career backup, why would you trade for him, with so much better options. I think Kolb is this years Cassel or this years Schaub, he is hot stuff and will definately get inquiries. It all depends on if the Eagles want McNabb or Kolb for the near future.

Vick is a nonfactor though, (but still an option)

I think we retaine him as a backup. As he still doesn’t look like a starting QB.
