Brian Dawkins

I just wanted to say Happy Birthday to the man who turns 36 today.  I know everyone was complaining about his age and all, but I mean, you have to look at what he's doing in Denver as a great thing.  The man can still play as far as I'm concerned.  But what's in the past in behind us.  Nonetheless, I just thought I'd take the time to say Happy Birthday to the man who will always be an Eagle at heart.  Good luck to him.

nope

Sir Alexander Fleming, Ernst Boris Chain, and Howard Walter Florey got nothing on Dawkins. they only discovered penicillin’s curative effects

Brian Dawkins hits so hard..

You don’t need penicillin to cure any disease. A B-Dawk hit knocks any illness right out of you.

Sometimes it's just fun to take the family for a spin around the lake in the old boat. Even if it's not your family or your boat, and they're screaming for you to stop.

let it go....hes not an eagle until he retires or comes back

if we somehow play the broncos in the superbowl are you gonna be hoping he gets his first ring ?

by Mikegeminsky on Oct 13, 2009 11:24 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

He'll get an honorary ring from us anyway

The same way the Colts gave a ring to Edge.

agreed I won’t cheer for him the player for as long as he wears another teams jersey but I will cheer for him as a person for as long as I’m alive.

+1

It’ll be great to have him come back to Philly one day and hang out on the radio with Bill Bergey and John Runyan, maybe run for mayor. Oh yeah, I’m looking forward to his Nobel Peace Prize, too. :)

Then one day, when he is gone, he’ll be able to bulldog Mother Theresa, face mask Jesus, and chip Ghandi in the heaven Pro-Bowl – all on the same play – and St. Peter wouldn’t even flag him. But he won’t have to because he’ll be the “Angel of Shutdown.” I think there’s only clean play in heaven? Darn, I forgot to ask Reggie White.

The man love I have for Dawkins is amazing.

I thank God almost everyday that I wasn't born in Dallas!

I still cannot believe they let him walk.

Astronomically stupid.

I love you, Dawk. Always and forever.

Biggest mistake...

In franchise history to let him go. I mean he is playing great and all but beyond that…he is a once in a LIFETIME player/person….a first ballot hall of famer and was THE leader on the defense. He is a guy who should have stayed in the organization for life as a mentor, coach or advisor. Eagles have let a lot of guys go who were done shortly after…this one they calculated badly on, both from a player and a person persepective.
You would think they would have learned after Reggie White…
