Notes from the Linc yesterday
1) It was absolutely electric yesterday when Trotter was introduced - Can only imagine what it would have been like if that was Dawk who came back
2) TB is bad... terrible bad! I know what a lot of people wrote on here about dropped passes etc. But they are just plain and simply terrible. If they win 2 they're lucky
3) They are absolutely enforcing the tailgating ending an hour after game time rule. Stupid thing about that is that its not going to do anything about the drinking. People just start earlier now.
4) Jack and Mac are almost impossible to tell apart at times on the field. That 8 and 0 sure look alike. I thought Desean caught both of those tds yesterday. Maclin looks great!
5) I liked the vick signing... mainly because i think it is going to yield us a nice draft pick next year... but WOW i hate when he comes in the game. I was surprised by the resounding boos everytime he came in the game. but i agree. whats the point? Its a wasted down every time
6) I was a good boy and held my tongue yesterday but there were some idiotic protestors outside the stadium. all 10 of them. But one sign stuck out in particular. The sign read "2nd chance yes! NFL NO!... i think i'll just let that idiotic logic speak for itself and not go into detail. But if you believe that, I think your issue lies a lot more with wealthy people than what vick did. And dont give me that role model crap
7) I've never sat in the endzone before but i will again. I liked the fact that you could see every play develop.

1.) I agree about the atmosphere…and my dad and i actually talked about what it would be like if it were Dawk coming out. I have a feeling that about 70,000 other people had the same conversation.
4.) Jack and Mac play similar as well as having similar numbers. They fast and shifty and the numbers being similar makes it just that much harder to figure out who’s who.
5.) I still love the Vick signing and believe that him being worked in right now is a little bit forced. I do believe that good will come of it though. Even if all it ever actually does is set up for just1 key TD against the Giants, then i am OK with that. We’ll see. Its still early in this experiment, and we havent really played a legit opponent with him out there yet either…
7.) The endzone is my favorite for that exact reason. I am not so good with the terms and X’s and O’s, but when you watch the plays going endzone to endzone, it’s much easier to figure out schemes and formations.

Josh Johnson could definitely win some games if he had a half-decent supporting cast around him. I actually think he could perform well as an Eagle with our o-line giving him good protection and Westbrook/McCoy to take the pressure off. Problem for him though, is he’s stuck in Tampa. Oh well, don’t need him anyway.

Johnson's
not bad, he could do well in so many other places.

I was kinda impressed with him a little. He’s got a ways to go but he definitely didn’t look intimidated and was able to get some yards himself when Winslow wasn’t available. I didn’t even expect for them to put up 14 points but they didn’t look horrible playing against us… I dont know what that means.

TB
still looks better than Oakland. Oakland has so many holes, they can barely compete on a football field

What about Westy?
Will he ever return to his dominate self?

Every career ends
But not yet for Westy. In past seasons, he didn’t rest when he was hurt. This season, it’s looking like we have good runners to fall back on. I don’t think he’ll get the stats or the number of touches that he used to get, but I would still expect him to break games open when we need him to do so. His impact on Sunday was bigger than the yards he gained.

Oops, that was a reply to "What about Westy?"

no doubt
Westy will still be huge weapon…it’s a good thing we have others to take some of the load…with less snaps means more rest…more rest means fresher legs for 36 to do what he does best

Told ya the endzone is where it’s at. It’s fun to play QB from there.
