ok

stars
1 bunkley .. bunkley continues to emerge as a top tier DT
2 Ingram .. ingram is a mismatch in the redzone and starts over celek by week 10
3 mcnabb .. easy pick .. mcnabb has a great season with all his weapons to spread the ball around to
4 clemmons .. shows the speed to get to te qb and has 10 plus sacks

busts
Cole – has trouble getting to the qb and is not great against the run .. finishes with 7.5 sacks .. good but not good enough
Maclin – struggles to learn the offense and barely plays outsifde of the return game
Gocong .. never has developed and loses his job to gaither .. starts to take reps at DE where he belongs
Mikkell- exposed as an average saftey with out dawkins and demps is the one who shines

i still think brown starts .. i think curtis plays the slot .. or maybe he even starts over jackson .. he is a good nfl wr .. got hurt one year .. big deal .. hes still productive starter .. and his per game stats are higher than curtis and jackson .. maclin wont play this year .. and avant is not good .. you talk about brown soo much .. brown is 3 times more talented than avant .. avant is a 4 or 5 wr at best

You forgot about the times I said the Cowboys would be sub .500

JIBTA called me out by name on those posts too.

Guess I can evaluate football talent after all. Which comes as a relief, because when you coach football, you usually need an eye for how skilled players are in particular schemes/formations/positions.

Good thing I can trust myself again.

This was only to address the Maclin situation

I could make one on his expectations for: TO, Jack Ike, the Cowboys, Macho Harris, Ellis Hobbs, and pretty much everyone he makes a prediction on

Whoa buddy, I didn't say he was a stud

(Yet)
I was pointing out how you insisted that DHB was going to be better, and that Maclin wouldn’t play beyond 25 catches for the year, we wont see him till Dec and he wont be productive for several years

he had 3 catches

***incorrect*** he had 6 catches for 142 yds and 2 TD’s (and thats just sunday)
he is up to 12 catches for the year so far, 1/2 way to your 25 prediction

DHB has 2 for 36yds
and your boy TO has 12 rec for 202 yds and only 1 TD
I’d say Maclin is fitting in just fine

But its a waste of time. JIBTA sticks to his guns and doesn’t look back. Even if we are right and he is wrong, in his mind he is never wrong. While I still don’t believe Maclin is going to be the next Wayne for a few years, he has definitely made it hard to take his name off of the top of the depth chart.

The dude is a fleeping, poodle-herding riot! He kind of reminds me of The Black Knight from Monty Python’s Holy Grail. You can cut his leg off and he’ll deny it. Cut an arm off and he’ll pretend he hurt you instead. Finally, after you cut off both arms and legs, and he’s lying there helpless he’ll call you a chicken as you walk away victorious.

a speed rusher

“Speed rusher” implies he only rush the passer. Last year, he led all DE in tackles. He was something like 3rd to DE in tackles. Hell, last game he led the team in tackles.

1st argument with JIBTA?

Let me reference GreenInBaltimore in his post
http://www.bleedinggreennation.com/2009/8/8/982275/a-tribute-to-mr-opposite

Lastly, I am going to touch on his Opinionfacts. Yup, a new word just for JIBTA. The definition, which will eventually be found in Websters, will read. “Opinionfact: (verb); Description of strongheaded persons opinions that are only to be viewed as facts, despite lack of support. Disagreement with an opinionfact will result in belittling, BS replies, and favoritism.”

that's not true

we’re not saying he’s better because he’s an eagle.

2006- 2009 1/4 : 231 Tackles 33 Sacks

(Tuck played only 6 games in ’06 but even 07-09 him and Cole has same amount of sacks but Cole has 22 more tackles. Remember Tuck had/has Osi and Strahan, Cole gets constantly double teamed.

Peppers: 2006-2009 1/4: 159 tackles 33 Sacks

We looked at stats and came to that conclusion. You decided the stats are wrong and your opinion is right, thus nullifying any objective argument.

Tuck: 6 gms, 5 starts-19 tackles, 3.5 sacks, 2 FF

Cole has 5 more tackles and 1 more sack. Tuck has 1 more FF.

by Alon on Oct 12, 2009 10:13 PM EDT up reply actions

It's not that he's wrong.

It’s that he’s so belligerent and insulting in the process. A lot of people here are wrong on a regular basis. They admit it and move on. A lot of people here disagree respectably or with a little friction.

JIBTA is wrong AND nasty about it. And the denial is another part of his ‘special way’. You can’t have an honest discussion with someone who doesn’t admit that he insulted you a week earlier because you didn’t agree with a moronic prognostication that didn’t come true.

Then he picks these off hand reasons whey great players suck and mediocre players are great. (Poodles like Jack over Wolverines like Dawkins and Asante.)

I swear in my nightmares my ex-wife decides she’s a football fan and starts spouting hormonal anti-logics about my Iggles – just like JIBTA. Then Billy Mays comes back to life as a zombie and they pre-empt the Iggles game with marathon infomercials.

No, you were not the only one....

…In Fact, i would like to add a few more of JIBTA’s predictions that were on his “Predictions” post. there are many more that COULD become wrong, but too early to tell. (Season yardages and such…)
I only cut and paste the ones i found entertaining. He did make a few accurate predictions…but he is WAY more wrong than right.

jack will make this team and be higher on the depth chart than ellis hobbs who is only here to return kicks
sean jones starts over demps .. but demps plays both and takes some of mikkells snaps as well
TO will have double digit touchdowns
Lee evans will have a 1200 yard season oppisite him
reggie brown will make this team and play a lot
Celek will have 700 yards receiving but still cant block anyone
Heyward Bey will have the best season out of all the rookie wrs
wild card Titans .. and the oakland raiders .. yes i just said that .. its gonan be close for that last spot but miami is not that good and baltimore is falling off
I hate LT .. but he has one more monster season left in him
the rams will finish second in that division
maclin will play less than reggie brown
John madden will continue to say stupid shit on TV and people will love him for it
Ware will lead the nfl in sacks.. the cowboys do have one stud on their team.. i give them that
Deangelo hall will lead the nfl in interceptions
JIBTA will win the fantasy league

that's not really a fair assessment of things

Rush is not the face of the GOP…he’s a radio talk show host that is republican, but that doesn’t mean he’s callin the shots. Also, it’s pretty unfair to say they’re hatemongers and standing in the way of progress when progress means going against what they believe in. GOP doesn’t want big gov, but that’s what the democrats want. Just because they’re not selling their ideology down the river so that they can conform doesn’t mean they’re standing in the way of progress. In their minds, they’re preventing regression rather than preventing progress.

But hey…this is a football board. we should talk football!

Like it or not, Rush is the face of that shitty party. He might not be directly calling the shots, but he certainly has more pull than Michael Steele. I’m not a Dem or a Rep. To say the GOP DOESN’T want Big Government is laughable, your last shit head racked up the credit card like a bored housewife on prozac. In principle conservatives want less spending and smaller government, in reality, they want their health care lobbyist money and this president to fail.

If you really do consider yourself a fiscal conservative, and not just an Obama hater, I recommend checking out Ron Paul.

I agree with BroadSB… Although this is a football post – what fiscal conservatives stand for is definitely not what the actual Reps represent. And being fiscally conservative isn’t the only supporting factor in politics. I consider myself a Dem solely based on my social stance and being a social liberal. Those ideas are far more important than how much money the government takes from me and how big the government is… because at the end of the day – the Reps and the Dems are gonna take all our money and fill their pockets with it.

I listened to that article you posted that you obviously didn’t read, because it was making the point opposite of what you were making. You gotta be careful when using google, read before posting.

What nonsense have I posted? That Rush is the face of the GOP, the election was rigged, Michael STeele was pwned by Rush, Hannity, Glenn Beck, etc etc. Oh no wait that was you? All you do is name drop, project the ideology of the GOP, and then add in some flaming insults.

There are several people on this thread that simply stated they were GOP supporters.

You followed with the following classics:

“Shove it up your ass”
“You admit that publicly”
Rush Limbaugh blah blah blah
Sean Hannity blah blah blah
Glenn Beck blah blah blah
hatemongers blah blah blah
Karl Rove blah blah blah

No one here has said they are even fans of these people, the only thing that anyone took offense to was you calling Rush the face of the GOP. You are just regurgitating your talk radio bullshit, it really makes you look dumb. Garbage in, Garbage out. You are not going to change anyone’s mind with your rants, it just makes you sound like an angry little red faced man.

If you go around generalizing conservatives, you are never going to win an argument or say something intelligent, these are all just generic talking points that are inane.

The no taxes sounds great and all until you read a little further in and see that is contingent upon us arming and policing ourselves.

I would like fiscal conservatism if it existed. As I see it now, the only people the right wing is fiscally conservative with are the rich.

Everyone is so afraid to tax the rich. Like if income tax were to go above 34 1/2 % the market would crumble. At one point under Regan it was nearly 50%.

I like when people who aren’t rich use talking point phrases of the Fox Noise Channel, like “socialism” or “re-distribution of wealth”. Like all the Bush tax cuts to the rich and loopholes for corporations wasn’t a re-distribution of wealth in the other direction.

The one thing I will agree with JIBTA on

this is CLEARLY a fake, and a bad one at that. Look at the straight line on the back of his head. not to mention it is too big for his body.

good call then

I just never looked at it closely…

there was a considerable amount of posts on politics as well … this is a strange thread if you read through it.

Awwww.... don't rain on my parade.

Even if one or two teeny weeny little posts may have seemed like they were about politics on the outside, you know they were all on here cause they hate JIBTA to begin with.

ok

where is maclin now!! like i said .. hes a rookie wr .. he will be inconsistant all year .. you all jump over me over one game .. he may not repeat that all year .. he will be good .. but not till atleast next year at the earliest .. more than likely year 3

by jack is better than asante on Oct 22, 2009 12:40 AM EDT reply actions

come on...

no one played well last week, thus maclin didn’t play well. He had his man beat multiple times and mcnabb missed him. that’s a load of trash.

I should probably be embarrassed that I expected him to learn something.

He’s just going at it as if all these people didn’t say a thing. That’s why I call him creepy and pathological. I beginning to suspect that there might be something truly wrong with him.
