1. Three-headed monster in Philadelphia

I talked with Michael Vick this week, and it was inspirational to discuss where his life is headed and where the Eagles are going in 2009. Vick will be a positive contributor to society and will also be a positive contributor to the Eagles offense. Look for Philadelphia to use multiple spread sets and open up this offense. I would guess Vick sees about 10 to 12 plays, and he may get the chance to throw three to four passes. McNabb has two touchdowns in his 18 pass attempts this season and has demonstrated he can still run (6.8 yards per carry). Kevin Kolb threw for more than 300 yards in the two starts he received. As one coach said, "JaMarcus Russell wouldn't even make this team, let alone start!"

Ya know, I used to have high hopes for Jamarcus. He was more of a college quarterback than a pro quarterback, but I felt he could make the transition. But he shows absolutely no initiative. He’s completely out of shape, his throwing mechanics have, in fact, gotten worse since since college, and he shows no emotion whatsoever.

He’s too content with his fortune and fame. He needs to get his head out of his ass and realize that the fortune and fame come from playing football well, and that both can quickly disappear without football.

You kind of had to know from watching his interviews while at LSU that he was, uh, a moron

Morons don’t translate well to the NFL. It’s not all a brutish game like everyone thinks; you need to have a head on your shoulders, particularly at quarterback and offensive line.

He has no work ethic. He plays like the world owes it to him to make him better without JaMarcus himself putting any effort forth to do so.

agreed

He could win every punt and pass challenge out there, but his whole knock was he was a dumbass. It seems like alot of the athletic Qbs are the same way. Vicks whole problem was reading defense too.

Jamarcus Russel...

wouldn’t make a single NFL roster, let alone the Eagles.

Hell, he wouldn’t even make the Raiders if he wasn’t a 1st overall pick

..."I predict...the Giants are #1"...

...."That's not a prediction meatman, that's a FACT OF LIFE"!.

Could JaMarcus Russell even make a UFL team at this point?

Sometimes it's just fun to take the family for a spin around the lake in the old boat. Even if it's not your family or your boat, and they're screaming for you to stop.
