Eagles Fans are Class Acts
Hey Everyone,
I'm a Vikings fan and I just had to join the Bleeding Green Nation to thank everyone for showing so much class on our board last weekend. I had assumed all fans were as irrational and immature as Packers and Bears fans but you've shown otherwise.
Best of luck to you all. I'd rather we lost to the champs then some chumps so I'll be rooting for you the rest of the way.

yeah same here bro…
thanks dwarg… good luck next year man…
But T.O. and his sideline histrionics wear on a quarterback. He's like the hot stripper you tried to clean up and convert into a real girlfriend. It's a lot of fun until the moment she has her second drink while out to eat with your parents. You unravel quicker than she does.

I
was lucky enough to attend the game and I have to say I had very little trouble. Vikings fans were some hospitable folks. Some harmless trash talk was pretty much it. All in good fun. And the little trouble I had was after the game. But it wasnt anything to talk about. Great city and great fans. Hope both teams meet again sometime.

I think Philly fans
get a bum rap. We’re just passionate. Yankees fans, on the other hand, are just insufferable.

no offense to the Vikings fans
but they are the cockiest sons of bitches. for a team that barely beat the giants 2nd stringers they certainly had a lot of hope going in. Not one fan other there was nervous about playing the Eagles. They also complained about the eagles " hot dogging" as if they didnt see the vikings players celebrate after every play and adrian peterson shwo demps the ball before he scored.

Or DeSean who spikes the ball before getting to the endzone
It was a rookie mistake, but still….

I agree Joe_D
They are cocky ass fans but I have to say so am I so I’m cool with that. One thing I try to do and don’t always succeed at is to not take personal attacks and try to stick to the facts some of the guys there don’t follow this pattern (like I said I TRY to some people make it hard).
As for DJ this wasn’t really as bad as people make it out to be and AP showing Demps the ball is just as bad IMO.
Not one fan other there was nervous about playing the Eagles.
I’m not sure about “Not One” but it sure did seem like a lot of them thought we were a joke … to add to the cliche …whos laughing now.

Not One Fan?
I can say for certain that everyone I know was nervous about playing the Eagles. We knew we were the underdogs going in and it would take a big game by AP to come out on top. Your defense did a great job limiting him to one big play. It also helped that our coach decided to stop playing him in the 4th quarter and that he likes to dream that our Division I AA quarterback is just like McNabb because he coached them both… but that’s a rant for my other message board.
Man, I think I forgot that we have you guys to thank for Childress. I’m going to have to take back every nice thing I’ve said about you. How did you guys pawn him off on us again?
As for us being the cockiest fans, I find that almost impossible to believe since this was our first trip to the playoffs in 8 years, we haven’t been to the Super Bowl since the 70s and have never won a championship. Hell, we almost lost a game to the Lions this year. Sure, we have a small number of stupid fans that make ridiculous claims, but the majority of us cheer for our team without delusions.
But to say that we had a lot of hope going in is probably true since I think that’s what it means to be a fan. I’m always going to hope the Vikings will win no matter who we’re playing. If I can’t hope for my team to win then I’d stop watching.
Fire Childress! (after one more year?)

Right back at ya....
I have a feeling that the Vikes will be a force to reckon with for several years to come with all the young talent they have and a pretty good coach to boot.

i actually signed up for norseman
the day of the win, but have yet to post. those guys are classy fans over there.
for the most part, a lot of them are actual fans of football period outside of their team.
translation: they know how to put it to their team when they mess up witihout being delusional a la cowgirl fans who claim this season wasn’t a waste

Passion vs Over the Top
I think when a team and sense a surge heading to the top its not uncommon to have a few over the top people push the envelope etc. Its a pleasure to be able to tweak for tease someone but when the F word is introduced like an adjective its not creative its shows one is limited. Back during the 87 season the Giants fell into an 0-5 start and was dragged to a Devils hockey game UGH, and somehow Jets and Giants fans from across the arena got into it. Finally one jet fan creates this big ZERO with hit arms and them showed his hand displaying FIVE fingers. I still get a chuckle out of it. Its not the put down that matters but the method its presented, one can still enjoy the game with one and all with class and SHARE a smile. All teams have idiots the trick is not to give them power.
