Nick Cole
It seems like he's been playing pretty well for the Eagles. If I'm correct, he blasted a big hole for McNabb on the QB sneak for a TD against Dallas and got out in front for a nice block for Westbrooks' TD against the Vikings. Do you think he could eventually become a full-time starter for the Eagles? I do hope that Shawn Andrews can come back from injury and his problems with depression. But, if he cannot or if the Eagles choose to let one of their tackles leave and move Herremans out to tackle, do you think Nick Cole would be very good as a starter?

He's worth a try
Either Herremans or Andrews must be moved outside because I highly doubt the birds bring back both runyan and thomas. With that said, cole will have good competition in camp next year and, as of now, it is his job to loose to either MJG or a potential rookie. From what I have seen he is outperforming MJG, but MJG had a relatively strong debut this year as the starter
cant Cole play center
i remember something about him being able to play center???
To me the Eagles are like that girlfriend that pisses u off, then u hate her, but the next morning you wake up and remember that thing u love so much about her

My guess...
…(based on nothing but speculation) is that the team will likely only bring back one tackle. It’s probably Thomas; he seems to have played well and has stayed healthier than Runyan the past few years. If that’s the case, then we’d have a hole at RT. So we’d have two options: either draft a RT and hope he can play instantly and assume Andrews will be the RT next year…or push Andrews out to tackle and play Cole at RG. In that case they’d probably still draft an OL with a first rounder.
I think Cole has played really well. He’s had some highlight-reel blocks. You’d think if he had played poorly that you’d see him giving up big plays, but I don’t.
The only downside is that his contract is up at the end of this year. I think we’ll bring him back because we need the depth at the very least.
whens runyan been unhealthy ?

I was thinking that too
hasn’t he started in 192 consecutive games, I don’t think he’s missed a game in his career since becoming a starter.

You're right
He does continue to start, but he plays through a lot of injuries. It seems like that this year, especially the past few games with his knee. I mean, he’s badass, but I remember an interview with him last year talking about retirement and the accumulation of injuries over the years.
he had a broken tailbone last year in 07

i remember something about that i think it was a fracture and i think it was him slipping getting out of the cold tub , he basically injured himself, but he still played …

white towel
it’s just a little towel he wraps around the chin strap because he thinks it’s more comfortable. He’s been wearing it for years now.
asante’ll be fine, he’s tough.
hope he comes up big against the GIANTS!!!
