Another great defensive outing.

Our offensive line CAN’T play like that next week though.

Wow...

You should be glad he had the ball in the wrong hand— Demps had a shot at stripping him.

I wonder what you would have said if Adrian, say, got all up in Andy Reid’s face after a 30 yard punt return. DeSaun Jackson is the definition of little-man syndrome and with such quality leaders/players like Brian Dawkins on your team, I’m surprised that little turd hasn’t been taken out back and had the shit kicked out of him.

Good luck on offense next week. Your defense doesn’t need it.

I think we all agree Jackson was out of line there.

On a punt return (i think)

He ran out of bounds and right up in Brad Childress’ face talkin shit. It was kind of strange. And yes uncalled for.

speculation ... you don't know what he said.

He could have said, “great season coach, your team is playing real hard out there, how’s the family?” …

p.s. I am totally joking he was definitely talking shit but hey it’s football.

Well.....

…….he is one of the classiest players in the league. The Vikings don’t have that “hate” thing going on, mostly because their head coach looks like he belongs on Sesmae Street instead of an NFL sideline.

I have to say

that the team I saw tonight is the team Ive been waiting for. The Special Teams showed up and played well. The Offense, although shakey at times, came through when we needed it too. And the Defense, well, did what it does. Asante and the pick 6 was sweet. Jacksons multiple great returns and good ol #36! If the same team shows up against the Giants, Giants cant stop our run like Minnesota, Its going to be another great weekend. GO EAGLES!!!!

P.S. Just got back to the hotel from the game and heading down to the bar. Have a great night everyone.

Thank you baby Jesus and Brian Westbrook.

Damn, it feels absolutely fantastic to win a playoff football again.

Did anyone notice

how quiet it got when Westy caught that screen and started running? I had to turn up the volume of my TV. Was it me, or did the Vikes fan already recognize that 36 was going all the way and tuned down the volume?

Had a great time

Everyone was pretty cool. Got some looks and comments from a few after the game on the way back. Im staying in downtown and heading home tomorrow. And once again I will proudly be wearing #36 on the plane ride. But I really am heading to the bar now. I will be back posting as soon as I get home. Enjoy it everyone. Its a great time to be an Eagles Fan.

i love how

if that was in philly and if we boo’d our team like the Vikes did..the announcers wouldve gotten on us about the boos but i didnt hear a peep outta them when Vikings fans were booing their team.

by eaqIes on Jan 4, 2009 8:43 PM EST reply reply actions actions   0 recs

It was great to shut them up...

…and shut up the stupid Fox announcers. In a way, this felt like the Phillies who were able to win no matter what was thrown at them. The Eagles had to put up with bad calls, bad non-calls, and general pussiness from the officiating. And yet, they still pulled through and won the game.

We are the last team the Giants want to face right now.

I like how after Peterson ran his 40 yard touchdown , the FOX announcers couldnt stop singing his praises, but when Westbrook ran his 70 yarder, it was a full minute before thay said anything at all, just silence. I think these stations that cover games need to get better commentators.

by midnitegreen on Jan 4, 2009 9:08 PM EST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Panthers are the last team the Giants want to face

Eagles would be second to last, of the remaining NFC teams anyway

by cjmulrain on Jan 4, 2009 9:25 PM EST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Of course not. That wasn't in Buck's script

And you just know Aikman is predisposed to pissing on the Eagles. (Only guy worse is Deion over on the NFL Network. He’s spent the last hour trash talking Philly fans and crying for sympathy regarding McNabb.) It’s only going to get more obvious next week and on from there. If this team makes the bowl, the script will be “despite the way the fans wanted Reid and McNabb gone.”

by HoosierPop on Jan 4, 2009 8:45 PM EST reply reply actions actions   0 recs

agreed @ hoosier

and lol @ what DeSean said to Childress

“you can’t stop me on the punt return side”

by eaqIes on Jan 4, 2009 8:48 PM EST reply reply actions actions   0 recs

E-A-G-L-E-S- EAGLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lets keep it going! Tough one next week

but we KNOW we can beat them… just have to prove it one more time

If you can't sell out a playoff game, should you lose the right to have a home game?
