This question come purely out of curiosity and personal fandum. It has NOTHING to do with the current state of the Eagles.
What has....or will become of Tony Hunt.
I don't believe he ever got a true shot in the NFL. He never got any real action untile he was thrust into the roll of fullback which was completely foreign to him.
I always liked what I saw from the guy. Pretty good short yardage back (Chicago goaline situation withstanding).
He was always the type of back that got stronger as a game went on when he played for Penn State. Pretty good pass catcher. Smart kid. Humble.
He was the Senior Bowl MVP two years ago.
I guess my questions are:
Will he get another shot in the NFL? Will he be invited to a camp this year? Does he have too much game experience to sign on a practice squad? Are we really saying he is not better than any of the scrub backs currently in the NFL.
I am a Penn State fan and a huge Eagles fan. I followed Hunt's carreer at PSU and was psyched when the Eagles drafted him.
