2009 NFL Mock Draft

Yes, it may be really early to be doing so but I have fiinished my pre-free agency mock draft for the Eagles. I took into considerations all of the things that I expect to occur in this upcoming free-agency period and applied them to my draft.

Round 1

1st pick- William Moore, FS/SS Missouri

2nd pick- Jason Smith, OT Baylor

Round 2

3rd pick- Evander Hood, DT Missouri

Round 3

4th pick- Alex Boone, OT Ohio State

5th pick (from some team for Lito Sheppard)- Javon Ringer, RB Michigan State

Round 4

6th pick- Otis Wiley, SS Michigan State

7th pick (from some team for Reggie Brown)- Pat White, WR West Virginia

Round 5

8th pick- Tony Fiammetta, FB Syracuse

9th pick (from Cleveland)- Christopher Owens, CB San Jose State

Round 6

10th pick- Kevin Akins, LB Boston College

11th pick (from Minnesota)- Cullen Harper, QB Clemson

Round 7

12th pick- Darrius Hill, TE Ball State

The Eagles will not trade Reggie Brown for a 7th pick. That’s so silly it’s ridiculous.

Furthermore, the Eagles won’t be taking 12 people. I’d be surprised if they took 9.

probably also not drafting a fullback. when you can get one as an undrrafted free agent

Espn projected this morning that the Eagles will take Beanie Wells

Reminds of the normal “sexy pick” that never happens.

Would we even want the guy?

If it’s going to be a RB iId prefer Greene or Ringer. I doubt Moreno will still be available.

I don’t want Beanie Wells either, I think he will be an NFL bust.

I don't like " Beanie"...

My guys for RB taking into consideration the Birds take RBs later in the draft are Javon Ringer and Tarrion Adams.

I want Moreno pretty bad. McCoy is interesting, but he reminds me too much of Ryan Moats and Booker.

man

Hasn’t ANYONE else besides me figured out that we dont draft RBs in the first?

If Jayson Smith is still on the board at 28 then I’ll be a Monkey’s Uncle

The only pick I agree with is the 3rd round pick.

I watched Ziggie Hood play high school football in Amarillo, TX. Dude is a fucking beast. He continually beath the shit out of the quarterback and running backs from my high school for my last two years there. Also watched a lot of him in college since I am a longhorns fan. I really think he could be another sleeper that we could draft on day 2 and will be a stud.

I highly doubt

that we would use Lito or Reggie for picks. We have enough as it is. Show me the Free Agents!

Who wants to play Leapfrog with Trent?

agreed ...

maybe a package if the decide to trade one of the number 1s but I don’t think so. Neither player was a distraction.
