Eagles Offense

i was just 'reminiscing' about the eagles season and then i realized something really strange... everytime i watched the eagles on offense, i always had the feeling somethng terrible was going to happen, like a pick 6, or a bad snap resulting in a turnover, or like a westbrook injury, and id kinda always hold my breathe every play, i mean there were some games that were just like blowouts and once we had a monstrous lead i wud stop, but like i remember my friends  (one a pats fan, one a giants fan.. yuck) and everytime there offense stepped onto the field they were so confident that they wud score, but i'm sitting here scared that McNabb! the best QB in TD to INT ratio wud throw a pick and stuff like that...

iunno if it was jut me, or anyoine else felt the same way? but i RARELY felt it on defense, only wen we really needed a big turnover i wud just sit there waiting to get a turnover but like, i was a lot happier and more confident once the D was on the field rather than the O...

did anyone else feel the same?

I felt the same at times….and sometimes it was a pick 6 other times it was a touchdown, so sometimes the fear was not justified other times it was foreboding!!

hearing all the scrutiny mcnabb goes through embedded in your head … hearing all the “oh my god mcnabb !” bs subconsciously makes you think omg they are right mcnabb omg ! and then when they score you have that all of a sudden coming to grips feeling like oh yea its mcnabb hes fine … yea … blame the fuckin media and the haters for that sub conscious negative nancy bull shit

It was a whirlwind of emotions

One week they would fire on all cylinders than the next week score 13 points against a shit defense. Even though our stats were good, I think we need to be more consistent on offense. I think we all know the holes in our offense pretty well, TE, FB, Soon to be RB2

It's not picks

Every time our offense takes the field I fear 3 McNabb throws in the dirt an a punt. I’m usually surprised if we turn the ball over. Punts, not so much.

Turnover

A punt is a turnover.

You are giving the ball away without scoring any points. Unless you are pinning your opponent deep or about to turn the ball over on downs in field goal range, you might as well go for it and try to keep the ball, especially if you are beyond midfield.

True

To clarify I was referring to punts after 3 and outs. That’s my fear. We keep going 3 and out, eventually resulting in an erosion of field position. I saw that happen too many times this year.
