Yeah i know... everyone reading this is bound to say "Well we didnt win the big one". Really? Yeah i'm aware of that little tidbit!

But how could you not be proud of this team? I hate cliches, but we really were playing with house money! Do we beat Arizona at home? See the Thanksgiving day game!... but alas that did not happen.

Guys!!!!!!!!!!! If TB didnt lay an absolute egg against Oakland and CHI lost, we'd have never had a chance to:

Eagles 44 Dallas 6

Eagles 26 Vikings 14

Eagles 23 Giants 11

SERIOUSLY! OTHER THAN A SB CROWN, WHAT MORE COULD YOU ASK FOR!

do a few things need to change? Sure! But Arizona played an unbelievable 1st half! Its hard to hate Kurt Warner!

Can you imagine how good this team could be next year?? JEFF BRING DAWK BACK! I'M BEGGING YOU!

Also, this post is also a sort of "goodbye" from the 700 Level for a little while. I'll be back before the draft, but will be taking some time off from posting. Not because i'm too bummed to post, but just because i have a lot of other stuff going on right now.

I’m with you 700. None of this was supposed to happen.

Yeah, you don’t get these opportunities back. Even if we win it all next year, we also could’ve won a bunch more.

But I honestly have a great time following the Eagles, they always make it interesting. I almost want them to win more to shut up the Giants/Cowboys/Redskins fans and the McNabb/Reid critics than for my personal enjoyment.

we had a good season guys, we’ll be back next year.

There’s just a few spots where we need to make changes, Desean will be even better, our Defense won’t be losing any starters (assuming they keep dawk).

Last year the New England patriots had an undefeated season, but no one cares. Why? Because they did not win the Superbowl. So what if we had a good run, at the end of the day, all that matters is that we did not win the whole thing. That puts us in the same boat as the Vikings, the stinkin Giants, the fucking cowboys, and the winless lions. IMO, this was an unsuccessful season.

Yea but it's kind of cool....

that she knows the melody to our fight song so well but then again why wouldn’t she…..we did go to their stadium and kicked their asses twice ending their season while all the Eagles fans in attendance happily sang our song and many of them even sang it to the tune of “Bye Giants Bye”. Let her talk trash because after losing Spags, they will be at the bottom of the division.

I’m proud of how they turned the season around. But I still think we got a crappy effort today.

It was the whole season in miniature. A great 2nd half means nothing if you don’t show up at all in the first half.

I agree it was kind of a microcosm of the season ...

… so much “we were so close.” … When your team gets its ass kicked, there’s no room for second-guessing. We second-guess everything because we’re always a play or two away.

Being close friends with a lot of Red Sox fans, let me just say that the anguish your franchise puts you through on the way to the promised land makes it that much sweeter when you get there.

Granted, I was kinda hoping “there” would be Feb. 1st, but whatever …
