Stupid Matt Mosley
I don't like Matt Mosley mainly because he is a Cowboys fan and I am wired to dispise him. With that said some of his articles aren't entirely bad and he seems to leave his homerism out of this latest article about the Eagles recent playoff run
This little nugget interests me ...
Mikell may have hit on why the Eagles and Cardinals find themselves in such an enviable position. They weren't worried about living up to expectations, because most people didn't have any for them as the playoffs approached.
Because I disagree ... the Eagles aren't exceeding expectations they are living up to the expectations we as fans had in preseason that they all but torched throughout this season. They are finally playing like the team we know they are.
As always Dawkins speaks and everyone listens ...
"We have a collective heartbeat, and a collective heartbeat on a team is a very powerful thing."
And I close with ... I love Asante Samuel.
"I was a free agent, and picking teams is kind of hard. But I couldn't have come into a better situation. We have a great defense, a good team, the fans are great and the city is great."

i would not say he is stupid, just bias. A cowboy fan could say the same thing about someone like dave spadaro

Spadaro is an idiot too.

yeah really… he’s a friggin tool
"I tried to run him over but Eli had his big boy pads on and he kind of stopped me from getting in the end zone. The next time I’ll try to jump over his head.’’ - Asante Samuel

The difference is Spadaro works for the Eagles. It’s his job to be completely biased and positive about the team. And, within that considerable constraint, I think he does ok.
Mosley is supposed to be unbiased, but being a former Dallas beat writer, it seems like he’s still biased in giving Dallas the most (if not favorable) coverage in his NFC East coverage.
I’m hoping people pick the Cardinals. Being underdogs seems to help the Eagles.
I wonder if I can bill Jeff Lurie and Peter Angelos for the years of therapy their teams are going to put me through.

true
there is definitely a difference. It almost feels like Lurie actually has his arm elbow deep in Spardaro … he sticks to the party lines and is overly up beat all the time.

yeah
I think a big part of my disdain for Mosley isn’t that he is a homer but that he is a dallas homer. I don’t share this hatred for say Michael Wilbon who is a Chicago homer to the death. Then again Wilbon is much more talented sports writer then Mosley.

Most Eagles fans hate Spadaro but doesn't change the fact that he's a homer.
