Dawkins: It's about belief

2105688701_0091af9267_medium

Some inspirational words from Brian Dawkins in an interview with NFL Network after the game.

We stayed together. We believed in one another. We didn't allow the outside negativity to creep into cracks and crevasses into our lockeroom. We closed it off, we sealed up, we cemented those cracks and made sure that inside we believed... not just in what we're doing we believed in one another.

I believe in Five. When he was down and written out and was on his way out... I believed in FIve.

I believe in Big Red. When he can't coach no more, he can't... I believed in him. We believed in one another the same type of way. When you have that, you draw closer together. You draw closer together and you start playing for one another that much more and that's what we did.

All Hail #20

This season could turn out to be better than the 2004 season. Hell, this season wasn’t pretty but what we’re witnessing is something special. The resurgence of #20, the devastating defense, the average offense making the plays when we’re all holding our breath. There’s a strange but special feeling right now. So many things had to magically happen for us to be here right now and they all have.

This is just the most amazing season. I criticized Reid relentlessly during the season — and I stand by that.

But for the lack of an unlikely set of circumstances, this team doesn’t make the playoffs.

But I will now bow down to Reid for what they’ve done with this opportunity. They need two more wins, and I am a believer.

I wonder if I can bill Jeff Lurie and Peter Angelos for the years of therapy their teams are going to put me through.

Yes Reid has made mistakes a long the way

But 5 championship games in 8 years? I want Reid resigned to an extension! One thing Reid does so well is keep a young talented team in tact which makes us a contender each yes. Yeah we could’ve used help on offense, especially at the TE position and the WR position too with the injuries but Reid tried his best to get someone in.

LOL.

I loved these quotes by Dawkins when I heard them on NFLN and they look just as good in print.
