He should be worried...

I just read this little story on dallasnews.com and I would love to hear what everyones thoughts were on this. Heres the link if you wanna post a comment on there yourself.

 http://cowboysblog.dallasnews.com/archives/2008/09/eagles-passing-stats-dont-impress-pacman.html

Adam "Pacman" Jones is bracing for a "big challenge" from the Eagles' passing game. But he doesn't put too much stock in the stats Philly put up yesterday, when three Eagles receivers had over 100 yards.

"They played the Rams, dude," Pacman said.

’You’re a criminal, dude.’ Shut the hell up and go sit in your cell. Oh highly respected mr. Jones, you are going to get beat so bad.

Bring on the Goatgirls!

I agree with both of you

Pacman has no room to talk crap about anyone. He should be in jail

However, I am excited to see what the Eagles look like against a good team

But the other side of this is that I’m even more interested to see what the Dallas WRs are able to do against our corners.

I am legitimately… as unbiased as humanly possible, picking the eagles to win by 2 TDs

wasn’t like the cowboys lined up against the best defense either…

i think it’ll be interesting to see our cbs line up against solid wrs. we have an extremely talented secondary…should be interesting

by eagleyosh on Sep 9, 2008 9:20 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

???

What corners would those be? Adam “Pass Interference” Jones? Or is it Anthony “Pass interference” Henry?

Maybe Roy “Inanimate Carbon Rod” Williams is going to be the difference maker in secondary coverage with his stunning coverage ability at Safety?

by Andrew B on Sep 10, 2008 9:04 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

There is no doubt the secondary is improved.

No more Jacque Reeves and Nate Jones to pick on.

It’ll be intersting to see if Pacman can make it through week 3 without shooting someone at a strip club or robbing a liquor store… that’s what you guys do in Texas right… rob liquor stores???

Compare and contrast to Sheldon Brown:

“We’re all smart enough and old enough to know that, on any given week, it can be totally different,” Sheldon Brown said on Sunday. “Let’s be honest: We’ve got a challenge coming up. Let’s see if we can answer it.”

One of these guys is a classy professional, and one of them is just a punk.

I have to agree with Andrew B.

“Mr. Everybody gets passed me so I have to pull them down by the collar because it’s the only way I can stop them and people still think I’m a great safety” Roy Williams?

I think Pac-man Jones should stop patting himself on the back. I know they beat the defending AFC Champions New England Patriots…wait, my bad. I just looked and saw they played the Browns last week. My bad, I must have overlooked that.

By the way, didn’t Jones almost botch a punt? He may want to pay a little more attention this week because the Eagles are a much better team than the Browns.

The thing I have to laugh at is when Roy Williams is used as intimidation. How many times have you seen a Cowflop fan say that “Roy Williams is going to hit [insert your team’s player] so hard that [insert unlikely event] will occur!” or that “No one will go over the middle with Roy Williams there!” or some bullshit. Or, if you post something negative about the guy, the inevitable, “You wouldn’t talk that shit if Roy Williams was standing in front of you.”

1) If you are that fond of Roy, why don’t you take your doe eyes and get meet him. I’m sure he’ll autograph your asscheck or something for you.

2) Yes, I would say those things if Roy Williams was standing in front of me, because I wouldn’t be wearing shoulder pads so he couldn’t collar me to bring me down, and as long as I’m not walking with a fucking crutch or carrying a bag of bricks, I could simply walk at a quickened pace to elude him.

Now, I’m not making a blanket statement here because plenty of their fans realize that he’s not a very serviceable player anymore and his tackles are pathetic and dirty, but for some odd reason, there’s a bunch of inbred assjacks that think he’s the end-all-be-all of football players.

HaHaHaHa!

Thats so funny
Almost as funny as…..Philly never winning a championship….
unless you want to count the NFC championship that TO won for you…

Oh… you mean the one that he didn’t play in??? Is that the one that you’re talking about? I know facts like who played in what game are hard to come by… better luck next time…

He played in the Super bowl

and without Owens…..You’re not even in the NFC Championship.
But sadly…not even TO could get that Lombardi trophy. Better luck next time to you.

The Owens touch

“and without Owens…..You’re not even in the NFC Championship”

Yeah, we would have never made it again in 2004 after doing it the previous 3 years without Owens. Totally impossible. /sarcasm

No Championships?

Ummm … I must have imagined what happened in 1926, 1948, 1949, and 1960, when Philly did just that.

Oh, maybe you Cowgirls forgot about those years because your sucky team didn’t even fucking exist then because you are such a backwards hickass town of inbred cowfuckers.

Dude...
unless you want to count the NFC championship that TO won for you

?!?
TO was injured throughout the playoffs in ’04 thanks to a horse collar tackle by Roy Williams.

He came back in the Super Bowl and I feel his return cost the Eagles that game – the WCO works better when the receivers are unselfish and TO’s prima donna behavior were a major distraction for the team

by cavortingEagle on Sep 10, 2008 6:56 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

And I seem to remember another team TO played for and him not ever winning them a playoff game let alone an NFC Championship … oh yeah he’s still there it’s the cowgirls ….

Pathetic...just simply pathetic.

The Philadelphia Eagles have 3 NFL Championships there big guy. Learn some football history before you go acting all tough on an Eagles board.

And just in case you are still keeping count…

Tony Romo still hasn’t won a playoff game.

Maybe that’s why T.O. was crying.

by rpalena on Sep 10, 2008 9:51 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Yellowjackets

The Eagles inherited the history of the Frankford Yellowjackets by default when they were organized in our fair city around the time of the Yellowjackets demise.

The Yellowjackets were the NFL champions in 1926.

That’s right Cowpoke’s. Even our local neighborhoods had NFL teams which won championships.

If we add to that the Pottsville Maroon’s title of 1925, metro Philadelphia has as many NFL Championships as Dallas.

All of which, of course, has no relevancy when it comes to recent times, where the Eagles have 5 NFC East titles in the past 7 years, while Dallas has been bereft of playoff glory since 1996.

No

I thought it was very funny.
I laughed when I read it….It was not meant to be condescending at all. I’m no better than anyone else and I would be the last one to have a superiority complex.

That being said , to tell me to take Jerry’s Dick out of my mouth is WAY out of line.
Maybe its because at BTB language such as this is not tolerated, nor are personal attacks,so maybe i’m used to a different type of atmosphere.

Anyhow, enough of this,I wish you guys good luck on monday and I’m looking forward to a Great Game!

OK I Will
you’re suppost to be an asshole and tell me to go fuck myself

HaHa….I guess I’m not up on my Philly sports etiquette.

go back to BTB you aren’t wanted here anyway.

Oh I will….No need stickin’ around since its clear that you guys here can’t have a difference of opinion without being rude, crude and socially unacceptable. If you can’t have a discussion without accusing me of incest, and homosexuality…then i feel sorry for you.

I go to other teams blogs as well…but its usually good natured ribbing and a little trash talking leading up to the game. Obviously this isn’t possible at BGN.

BTW…foos05 came over to BTB and has had some very interesting posts. I enjoyed his insight and he’s obviously a very knowledgable fan. Some of you would be well served to follow his lead.

I wish you guys all the best and in my opinion,Mondays game is merely the first of three meetings for these two teams. Yes…I said it…I think the cowboys and the eagles will both meet up in the playoffs. So mondays game is just a preliminary bout….the real test will take place in January.

Good luck guys!

what i said about jerry jones’ dick wasn’t really directed at you. i think the bull that the other cowboy morons that posted on here definitly pissed a lot of us off and i guess this kind of provoked me and whodie to be offended by the slightest things that werent meant to be offensive. looking at your comments, you’re probably the classiest cowboys fan to post on here and good luck to you on monday as well..

Thanks Remis

I’ll have to admit…some of the “So-called” cowboys fans, that were really harsh on you guys….have screen names that I have never once seen post on “blogging the boys”. They are not our regulars. I guess when a big game like mondays comes along, fans come out of the woodwork…including the assholes…HaHaHa….So I understand you guys getting tired of it,but we’re not all like that.
Anyhow its all cool,I’m looking forward to a great game on Monday…It’s a shame we have to suffer through Sunday and wait all day until Monday night to get it on…..But the anticipation will only add to the Drama!

Good luck guys!

No Super Bowls?

We had to let you guys catch up … we are fair sports.

After all, its not your fault that your jerkwater town of cows and Romo-Homo Brokeback Mountain Cowboys was a pimple on the ass of America until 50 years ago.

by Andrew B on Sep 11, 2008 7:51 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

We should point out that the almighty Dallas Cowboys never won an NFL Championship until it became the Super Bowl. But of course no Dallas fan will ever mention that.

They give it to Smith, and they stop him again!!!! They stop him again!!! The Eagles take over on downs!!!

AFL vs. NFL

The Cowturds couldn’t win until the Super Bowl came about because they couldn’t beat a good NFL team. That even continued on into the Super Bowl era, when Dallas lost to the ex-NFL Colts and Steelers in the Super Bowl (having previously screwed the pooch by losing to Green Bay in the pre-Super Bowl era), while having to wait for a chance at the AFL Broncos and Dolphins to make the win, and later the Bills. Their only legitimate title playing an ex-NFL team was 1995, against the Steelers.

The Cowgirls also have the “honor” of losing to the Arizona Cardinals in the playoffs? I mean really, how’d that happen? The Cardinals? A team that has not been decent sincer the early 1970’s?
