Roy Williams is a free agent after the season. The key to the rebuilding process is what level of value Detroit can get in exchange for Roy Williams, who can be franchised and traded. If the Lions can get a first-rounder and another high pick or more for him, they can begin to rebuild.

that would be sick if we can get him for reggie brown and maybe a 2nd and a 5th or something. i only hope that we give up reggie brown kuz his contract is indeed a killer to us financially, and the lions are a team that can handle the cap hit that he brings to them. also, it would be hard for us to keep Roy after this year if we were hoping to keep curtis, desean, and brown along with williams. it’s hard for me to imagine desean, brown, or curtis as a 4th receiver option and it going down well with the team chemistry-wise, (i know it’s not a word) and financially….
well honestly
if we did that this year we would probably send curtis there and if it was next year them we would look at brown and maybe our first round pick there. either way they are going to get a first round pick… atleast.
I dunno. I think either way we look to ship Brown. Odds are the Lions would rather take Brown this year anyway due to Curtis’ injury. Sports Hernia can be tricky (see McNabb), and they may want to get a WR that is healthier this year rather than take the shot and loose Curtis for the season if something goes wrong with his rehab…
Oh please
What the heck has Roy Williams ever done to make you guys think he is worth throwing away draft picks and players and money at?
Average 900 yards per season? 7 touchdowns per season? He’s barely better than Reggie Brown.
Agree 100% with Andrew
Our fantast with a #1 receiver is going way to far.
One other thing to mention above, I wonder if there is even much of a market for Reggie Brown. I cant imagine anyone picking him up to be there #1

he would be another solid reciever but i like what we have now. I wasnt so sure going into the season but desean has proved himself. Why are we talking about trading though? If he will be a FA, we dont have to give anything up for him. I want to keep both our 1st round picks and try to stack our o line as much as possible.
