Interesting stat

Donovan McNabb has started more Monday Night games than any QB in Eagles history and has an 8-5 record in those games. McNabb has a 10-5 record against Dallas.

What to watch for

With 2 TD passes, Donovan McNabb will surpass Ron Jaworski's team record 175 TD passes.

Bottom Line

With the game being so early this, a lot of the sizzle is taken out of this game. Ironically, the second matchup between these two may well be too late in the season to have that much meaning. Hopefully not. There can be no doubt that this is a bigger game for Dallas than it is the Eagles. Maybe not for the fans as any game against Dallas is huge, but for the team it's only week 2. The game is at Dallas and it's incumbent on them to hold serve. For the Eagles, a surprise win away here would probably vault them to the top of most pundit's power ranks.

Prediction

I thought before the season these two teams would split this year. So I say Dallas wins at home 20-13

I’m watching him talk about how McNabb was jealous. What it really comes down to is that it takes a man to play in Philly and ride the ups and downs, and while McNabb struggled early he has really gotten the hang of the media. Little pre-game story.

I’m a member of the Subaru WRX communitee (I drive a WRX) and in said communitee it is custom to wave to other WRX drivers (similar to the Wrangler wave)

Long story short I’m leaving work today and pull to a light, look in my rearview and up comes a fellow WRX pulling up next to me. He pulls up and I raise my arm to engage in the wave and see he does the same. At this moment he sees my Eagles jersey as I notice his Cowboys jersey. We immediately drop our arms and look away as if the paradox we just entered would destroy the world. Light turned green he turned left and I went straight it was pretty funny, we are complete strangers and in the manner of a minute went from immediate buddies to immediate enemies without ever sharing a word, MAN I LOVE SPORTS AND I LOVE AMERICA.

I have no evidence to support this and am to involved in the game to look but I feel like our Defense gets better in games where our offense is doing things …. they feel like they can’t be shown up …

The defense has been better than it looks. 2 turnovers, a TD… Remember 7 points was from special teams.

embarassing officiating

this game is embarrassing, what horrible officiating, right now the cowboys are getting screwed, which basically means the eagles will get screwed in the second half after the officiating crew realizes what happened. i hate it when MNF games go like this

at the moment it’s really lopsided in favor of the eagles … i hope it doesn’t turn the other way at half time. three bad holding calls, runyan’s gotten away with two holds, pass interference on henry should have been on lewis, westbrook recieving TD should have been a hold on the eagles.

cowboys got away with that one facemask …

i just hope it doesn’t turn against he eagles at the half …

few things

1. our offense looks great so far. that last series was a little like last year. unable to punch it in. we needed a TD there.

2. defense needs to tighten up. get considine off the field. he looked awful on that first dallas possession

3. westbrook is arguably the smartest running back in football. his time in philly has been unreal in terms of how he has evolved since we drafted him.

4. i cant stand kornheiser.

Here's the deal

Dallas has 15 yards rushing. Other than a couple of explosion plays, the Eagles have contained them. If the Eagles can simmer down, and play the pass in the 2nd half……That’s going to win it…..
