Eagles Poll: Which Position Needs To Show The Most In Friday's Game At Pittsburgh?
I was checking out the eagles website and saw this poll. i thought it was pretty clear cut but found out otherwise.
The question is: Which Position Needs To Show The Most In Friday's Game At Pittsburgh?
and for those of you who havent seen it the answer choices are QBs, O-line, WRs, D-line, and LBrs.
For me i though ok our line is great and i want to see more from King. Our QB situation is set. Im happy with our recivers and want to see jackson. our dline is a small concern with the injuries but we have depth. And finaly what i thought to be the clear answer was the linebackers. not because i dont have faith in them but because they are young and our middle backer has only one game under him.... but i was suprised to see the results this way:
Quarterback - 11.7%
Offensive line - 13.2%
Wide receiver - 48.4%
Defensive line - 10.8%
Linebackers - 16.0%
What do you guys think???

QB
If Donnie Mac looks healthy, mobile, and relatively accurate in his limited duty, my confidence will be pretty high.
I don’t worry about much else in the preseason with all the vanilla schemes.

Not too too surprising but...
I’m gonna tell ya why I think the WR’s are under the magnifying glass. All offseason the fans “SCREAMED” for a big time wide receiver a la fitz, williams, etc… This WR core has to show that it is the big time WR core that we KNOW they can be. With Curtis coming of an excellent season and Brown poised (????) for a breakout year…hopefully…and a group of excellent young talent by all we’ve seen from camp, they should perform admirably.
I would rather have 3 WR’s with good hands, and no fear, then 1 WR who can do it all.
I’m anxious to see who rises to the top as the first team slot receiver.
Sorry, just thought I’d add that.

I agree but for different reasons
I want to see Curtis and Brown and how they work coming into there second year together and Curtis and Mcnabb connection. Also I want to see how they use Jackson and how he picks up the playbook are his routes crisp is he running hard and finally is he making DBs look silly.
I siked to see Booker too btw.
I feel comfortable in our D I don’t think JJ would put people on the field if they weren’t ready.

I'm bummed that I'm going to miss tonights game
But if I were watching TV its a no brainer. 1st preseason game definitly outweighs Opening Ceremonies!

TV conflict
My wife and are complete Olympics addicts. Regular season game would definately take precedence, but we’ll probably watch the Opening Ceremonies and flip the game on during commercials and the boring parts where people are just walking into the stadium.
I’m mostly interested in seeing how 5 looks.

I really want to see Kolb
I love this guy. I am a big fan of his. I need to see if I can get a Kolb jersey in Red.That would be hot. Maybe I can get my hands of a Chris Gocong, I want to get it before everyone else starts getting it.
