Philadelphia Eagles 3-Headed Backfield Ready to Roll on the NFC East
via sportscucumber.files.wordpress.com

The Philadelphia Eagles will be running circles around defensive lines this season with their own version of a 3-headed monster. Brian Westbrook, Lorenzo Booker, and Corell Buckhalter will offer up a variety of running styles set tp keep defenses on their tows…and most likely on their backs. Obviously, Westbrook will lead the charge, but Booker has already pushed Buckhalter to number 3 on the head chart. Plus, quietly speaking, we all know Westbrook’s chances of finishing a season completely healthy…I think Booker may be the biggest head on this beast. Come and get in the game with the Eagles and their 3-headed monster at InGameNow. Stay tuned!

Come on
I dont know where your getting your ideas from but they are not from the relm of reality. first off let me start by addressing your thoughts poon westbrooks health which was proven wrog last year when he had his healthiest season yet while doing the most work he has ever. he carried atleast 60% of the offence.
next lets talk about buckhalter and booker. buckhalter dropped to the 3rd spot because he is old and has no promise of a career anymore. he has nothing left in him but being a backup and at this point in time the eagles want to invest a little more time in booker. Who by the way isnt as grat as we all would have liked even jason said he doesnt have the moves that westbrook has so where do you get your idea that he “may be the biggest head on this beast” do you hounest think he has any chance of doing more then westbrook who we all can agree on is one of the best 3 backs in the nfl?
hey im all for exploring possiblitys but let make them a little more realistic. now assumin we give westbrook a new contract i doubt we would split his time with 2 clearly less qualified backs.
if you want to talk about a 3 headed monster talk about the one we have a the CB possition.

What?
What was said about Booker was that he doesn’t have the raw strength of Westbrook and the low running style, but watching him is like watching someone play Madden. He has more moves then Westbrook easily, but what he lacks is the tackle breaking ability. Watch the highlights from camp and then say that he’s “less qualified”. Furthermore, they’ve been lining him up as a WR as well as a back, and he has excellent hands. So maybe we wone have a 3 headed monster, but definitely a two headed one. I think you’re going to see a lot of situations where you have a shotgun with two RBs along with the backs split wide in the back field, you could also see a lot of hydrid backfield conditions with Booker and Westbrook rather than Westbrook and an FB in the I or strong/weak I. They’ve already been experimenting with some of these setups at camp and the live blogs have been singing the praises of booker.
This is why we’re going to be threatening, especially against teams like New York that run the 4-3 like us. If you want to get pressure in that situation you’re going to stay in the 4-3, and in that case you’re going to have LB’s matched up with Booker and Westbrook, two players who can create YAC. So if we don’t get you long, we’re going to eat your lunch short a la the New England Patriots in the last games of the season where you had their TE’s and Slot eating up huge yards in crossing patters and slants by running after the catch.
That’s where Booker comes in. Combine that with a healthy TE core, we’re going to be balanced. I’ll take that over a #1 WR that can draw double coverage any day. The question isn’t going to be how you’re going to cover receiver X. It’s going to be: how are you going to cover X, Y, Z, plus 2 Running backs, all of which are more then likely to get the ball on a throw. Plus, you could still see a draw or screen on any given down. That’s what’s going to make this team sick.
T.O. enjoy that double coverage with Glenn gone…

i agree
i might of said something wrong but what i ment by “less qualified” is that he has no chance of getting the start over westbrook like buckhalter did years ago or like both westbrook and buckhalter did when we had staley. i see bookes straingths and how we are going to use him, which we knew when we traded for him, but he is still missing a bit off the top. you can have all the moves in the world but if you cant break those tackles you’ll just be wasting energy and time.
I agree he is a great addition and i see wherewe will use him but the preseason hast even started for us so lets see how he does in a game situation.

yea jason never said that booker doesn’t have the same amount of moves
Westbrook runs with a lower center of gravity and he’s harder to tackle than Booker, whereas Booker probably has a better arsenal of moves than Westbrook and I think has more straight line speed.
so chill…

hey you guys i think you miss understud me. im not saying booker isnt a great player, im simply just saying he is not as good as westbrook. if he was we would of never got him for a 4th round pick. the reason i was even really metioninf booker was because of this line.
I think Booker may be the biggest head on this beast.

3 headed monster
I think Booker will be a fine addition and a great player on our eagles team.So Bookers not an exact carbon copy of Westbrook that doesnt mean he wont help us win and improve our team. Westbrook is clearly the man we all know that !! whats up with Tony hunt in training camp ? has he fallin off the map ? hey fellas if i heard right the eagles-vs-steelers preseason game will be aired on the NFL channel friday at 7:30pm. so if your like me and have to work late you can record and watch after

woah there...
I didn’t mean to jump on ya Nick, I was just throwing in my two cents kind of sarcastically. Sorry for the onslaught that seems to have followed. It reminds me of the last time I was over at the Linc. Two guys behind me were talking about Donavan and one said to the other, “I think he’s ‘O.K.’ but we should trade him now.” The other guy said, “You’re crazy, we can’t trade him.”
Perfectly logical argument…3 beers later, they almost came to blows about who was a loyal fan and who wanted to cut and run during a bad season. All this amidst a third guy calling a woman in front of me (wearing a Bills jersey) a C__T, at the top of his lungs…
awesome…damn I love being a philadelphia fan.
