New Fan conduct code
I found this on ESPN.com today. They are taking all the fun out for us Eagles fans. Now what are we supposed to do at Cowboy games now!

NEW YORK -- The NFL implemented a new code of fan conduct Tuesday, warning that spectators who misbehave will be ejected from stadiums and barred from coming back.
The policy, first recommended by commissioner Roger Goodell at league meetings in April, is aimed at conduct that the league said "detracts from the gameday experience."
It includes bans on:
• Behavior that is unruly, disruptive, or illegal.
• Drunkenness and signs of alcohol impairment that result in irresponsible behavior.
• Foul or abusive language or obscene gestures.
• Interference with the progress of the game, including throwing objects onto the field.
• Failing to follow instructions of stadium personnel.
• Verbal or physical harassment of fans from the opposing team.
"The in-stadium experience is critically important to the NFL, our clubs and our fans and it will be a major focus this season," Goodell said in a statement. "We are committed to improving the fan experience in every way we can -- from the time fans arrive in the parking lot to when they depart the stadium."
The league also left teams the option of adding additional provisions to the code based on local circumstances. It said the guidelines would be contained in mailings to fans and signs posted at stadiums.

I have mixed feelings about this...
First of all I dont think enforcement of this is going to be very easy at the linc. I think this is just the NFL trying to put on a good front.
I heard something a few months ago about “not being able to stand at Eagles games”. If there is any truth in that, its time to rally the malitia. You CANNOT take it that far.
I will say this though… and you guys can call me what you want, but I am really tired of the “asshole” cheer that gets thrown at anyone in an opposing jersey. Last year i saw like 30 guys yell that for 5 minutes at like a 10 year old kid in a seahawks jersey. I dislike opposing fans at the linc like anyone else, but as long as they’re not flambouyant i think they still deserve some human respect

exactly
hopefully jerk fans will be escorted out of their home stadiums because of it. Opposing teams fans paid good money for their ticket and have a right to cheer for whichever team they want so long as they’re not taunting opposing fans.

I guess they have to change the Dallas sucks chant now. If not, the entire stadium may not be able to return

Ive been that person wearing the opposing jersey
Im an eagles fan and my dad and brother are giants fans and we live in central jersey. its easy for us to get a friend who has season tickets to the giants to give us the eagles game. i love it when im walking in all Eaglesed out from my westbrook jersey down to my green boots, walking throught the tailgaters and the already drunken fans being threatend by everything from snowballs to EMPTY bear cans(God forbid i get a free drink) and i reallly enjoy it. its all in good fun for the most part and it never really got violnt. i understand where cursing off a kid is bad and yes unexcusable but let fans have their gloating and spirit.

This is really stupid...
Fans of opposing teams, especially those in the NFC East, should know what they’re getting into when they come to the Linc. If they’re worried about being harassed, then they should stay home or go to their own team’s stadium if they can. It’s our home turf. Giants, Cowboys, and Redskins fans would give Eagles fans the same treatment if one of us were to show up at their stadiums wearing green and black. In point of fact, I have friends that were physically assaulted at Giants Stadium two seasons ago. I agree that giving young kids grief is out of line, but their parents should know better. There’s been enough horror stories over the years to fully educate everyone as to how Eagles fans behave, and it won’t change because that wannabe tough-guy Goodell issues one of his papal edicts. Funny thing is, if he were to catch a game at the Linc, he’d be the primary recipient of our ire after putting forth this pussified hogwash. I’ll have a snowball with your name on it, Roger…

Listen
most if not ALL of the people who work at the Linc are Eagles fans … that’s why they work at the Linc. Look for this to NOT be enforced at least for Birds fans. I’ve been to plenty of games and seen tons of opposing fans removed from the stadium for “their own safety” when really large groups of Eagles fans should have been booted for the behavior according to these rules. My guess is this won’t change.
