Still waiting ...

… on Schobel, Arrington, Reagor, Hunt, McBride, and several others I hope to never again see in Eagles green getting their name called.

I wonder if we can keep Gasperson though.

There are rumors

that Gas Person makes the team and McDougle gets cut. Check out Scoutsnotebook.com (scroll down the page) to see what a source of Tommy Lawlor’s has to say…

I can't believe I'm bummed that McDougle would get cut

Before the preseason, I was ready to drive McDougle to the airport, train station, or an old canoe to get him out of town. Now, I’ve spun 180 and would like to keep him. Yea, I’m a big flip-flopper but I’m allowed to change my mind. While I don’t see McDougle as the second coming of Reggie White, but I think he’ll be a nice contributor for a team this year. Not a Pro Bowler, but nice contributor. I can’t believe there isn’t a way to fit him onto this roster.

Wow, that sucks.

He’ll be a Giant w/in seconds.

A perfect Example

I think McDougle is a perfect example of someone who nearly lost everything, and that experience has changed him dramatically. Not only was his life as a coddled, pampered athlete just about taken away in one stupid act, but all of the privilges and honor that goes with such a status. When somethinbg like that happens, the words “Hard Work”, and the phrase, “Play like it’s your last game” take on a whole new meaning. He deserves a roster spot, if for no other reason than we need to keep him off the Giant’s roster.

Now THAT's Funny

Living in Dallas/Ft Worth Area, every time I listen to the local ESPN station here, I feel like I’m eavesdropping on the enemy. Regardless, the Cowboys are in a precarious WR situation as well. They have the Idiot as there #1, but their planned #2 and #3, Miles Austin and Sam Hurd, are both hurt. Basically, they have TO and Patrick Crayton as their WR’s, and Crayton is notoriously undependable. If you can shut down TO with a shut down corner or with a corner and safety help, then the only other real passing threat they have is Jason Witten. Granted, Witten is a great TE, but if you shut TO down with Asante and put your best cover LB or safety shadowing on Witten, with our pass rush……I like our chances.

They are talking down here of bringing in Joe Horn…..better them than us.
