Kevin Curtis out with sports hernia injury

Kevin Curtis is down for the count.

Can we get Anquan Boldin now?  This really hurts; as we know, sports hernia injuries can last for a long, long time.  It's great that Desean is proving something, but without Reg and Curtis, we're remarkably thin at the WR spot.  Seriously, is Boldin an option?  I can't imagine Reid would give up so much, but he's a Pro Bowl caliber wideout, and we've seen Donovan with one of those.

Sports Hernia Epidemic

Our guys get sports hernias like the browns get staph infections. Its unfortunate but its something we have to live with. I wouldn’t mind giving up at least Lito and a 1st rounder (our 1st rounder) for Anquan Boldin. I’d even throw in a 3rd rounder I think. The idea would be to make Arizona an offer that they couldn’t refuse….

i cant help but be optimistic on what our team will look like if we do get boldin. say we give up Lito and a 3rd rounder for anquan, by the middle of the season, we would have anquan at #1, kevin curtis at #2, reggie at the slot, while desean develops some more at the 4 spot. sure we wont have the best secondary any more, but we’d definitly still be up there, and we would have a great WR core… no weaknesses, in time to make a playoff push. if thers one thing i took away from the giants winning the superbowl, all you need to do is win games at the right time. obviously, we cant be 0-6 when curtis comes back, but i really doubt that he would make that big of a difference.

curtis belongs in the slot

its where he thrives.. he put up good numbers last year but the slot is really where he would cause headaches matchup-wise.

in a perfect world

1. boldin
2. brown (or jackson, if he keeps it up)
3. curtis
4. jackson (or reggie, if this hammy stays a problem for too long)
5. the rest of the marginally effective wideouts

to say Curtis belongs in the slot is asinine … just look at what he did in his first year not only as a number 1 but also in a new offense.

to not know what the hell you're talking about is asinine

take out the lions game where he was basically not covered and the word mediocrity comes to mind

curtis would have around 900 yds with 66 receptions, mediocrity isnt the word that comes to mind…

Joe Horn?

What about Joe Horn? He’s older but the dude can catch and would come at a lot lower cost than Boldin. I know the ’Phins have been talking to him, but he could be a good fit at a very low cost?
