I have seen the list, and I must disagree with Randall being 2nd. I would put Dawk 2nd, and probably McNabb 3rd. I am sure this is the result of so many non-Eagles fans voting.
It is hard for me to comment on Bednarik, Van Buren and McDonald since I never got to watch them play, but given Dawkins and McNabb have played his entire stellar careers here (which is rare in today’s NFL) and they have 4 NFC championship appearances (and 1 SB), they should be 2 & 3.
Reno Mahe should be 5, right behind Gizmo Williams.

I agree with Nodar
In fact McNabb could potentially be #2 and Dawk #3. I know McNabb hasnt won the big one yet, but geez, Randall couldnt even win a game in the playoffs
Concretefield can suck it

Based on joshjoshjosh’s reply, I decided to look into Bednarik a bit more. I knew he was a beast, but here’s some more info:
- the last full time 2 way player in the league (LB/Center)
- is considered one of the fiercest tacklers ever to play the game
- The Eagles made him the 1st pick in the 1949 draft
- won 2 championships with the Eagles (’49 and ’60)
- Played in 8 pro bowls
- 9 times All-NFL
- missed only 3 games in 14 seasons (damn impressive for an iron man player)
- mvp of the 1953 pro bowl
- played entire pro career with Eagles (‘49-’62)
- He had the game saving play in the 1960 championship. From the Pro Football HoF site:
His athletic abilities and inspirational play was particularly evident in 1960 when injuries forced the Eagles to ask their 12-year veteran to again play both sides of the line. The 35-year-old was sensational. He finished the campaign with a 58-minute performance, capped by a game-saving tackle in the Eagles’ NFL championship victory over Green Bay. With just seconds remaining, the Packers’ Jim Taylor appeared to be heading for a winning touchdown until the last Eagle in his path, Bednarik, bear-hugged him to the ground as time ran out.
Upon further consideration, even with him retiring 10 years before I was born and me never getting to enjoy watching him play, I would probably have to put him at #1.

I know, I know, but it was an entirely different NFL, dudes were like 150 pound LBs and Guards then.
Its hard to compare the eras. People were just built different then. He would probrably get killed in todays game. Or who knows, maybe he would play well. You really can’t compare the 2, its apples vs oranges.
