Fowler faces suspension for PEDs
I'm not really one to hold grudges. Okay, so that's a lie (T.O. and J.D. Drew spring immediately to mind), and I was particularly disappointed with the way Ryan Fowler handled his business last offseason. If you'll recall, his agent gave the Eagles the go-ahead to announce that they had signed the MLB to an offer sheet, only for Fowler to allegedly change his mind a day later and sign an identical offer sheet with the Titans. Hence the existence of a pair of news stories completely at odds with each other: "Fowler signs $10.5 offer sheet with Eagles" on March 11, and "Fowler signs $10.5 million offer sheet with Titans" on March 12.
Now I do realize that it all worked out in the long run. Fowler won the job at MLB for the Titans, but I'm sure the Birds are more than happy to trot out a LB corps of Omar Gaither, Stewart Bradley and Chris Gocong next year. With that being said, I have no time for people who don't keep their word, so while I wouldn't necessarily wish harm on anyone, I can't say I'm too broken up over Fowler's current "situation."
