Klecko back at DT
The Eagles have moved Dan Klecko back to DT. This seems to finally prove that his FB experiment is over. It is quite possible that Klecko could now be released after training camp and some people might be tempted to call this whole mess a disaster now. So where does this leave the Eagles at FB? The answer is that the Birds are no better off than with Thomas Tapeh and Jason Davis on the roster and quite possibly in worse shape. It seems we will have to bank on Davis, Luke Lawton and rookie Jed Collins to surprise us. I don't see that happening. Eventhough FB isn't the most important position in the Eagles' system, the coaches have certainly tried to upgrade it, which means that they weren't comfortable with it. But I don't see anyone being comfortable with this situation. The Klecko situation has blown up in our faces, let's hope it can be salvaged. Check out www.philadelphiaeagles.com for the source.

I don't know if I'd call it a disaster
His cap number is reported to be 605 thousand dollars.
Cutting him wouldn’t hurt too bad – the off season is about experimentation.
I’d feel a little bad for the guy – I enjoyed the way his dad played…
Then what about giving Tony Hunt a couple of reps at Fullback? If you read that Tommy Lawlor piece on PE.com (link) you might just be intrigued.

I agree that it isn’t a huge disaster and the offseason is the time for experiments, but this seemed like a long shot since the beginning. It wouldn’t cost us a lot financially, but there is very little stability after all the moves. That Lawlor piece mentiones the progress of Jason Davis, I’m keeping my fingers crossed for him from here on in.
The NFC East goes through Philly.
Actually, I don’t think any of his contract was guaranteed. So I’m not sure if he’d cost anything against the cap if cut.
You're right.
according to eaglescap.com that 605 thousand is just salary…
