Report: Lito skips voluntary OTA

610 WIP is reporting that Lito Sheppard is not at the Eagles voluntary organized team activity that began today with all rookies and veterans. As more info comes in I'll update here.

[Note by JasonB, 06/03/08 2:15 PM EDT ] Comcast sportsnet is now reporting it .

Lito Sheppard is a no-show.

The Eagles opened their final OTA before training camp Tuesday, and Sheppard was not present. Although the camp is technically voluntary, the entire team usually participates.

And the Inky

Eagles cornerback Lito Sheppard was a no-show today at the team's voluntary full-squad camp.

The Eagles have said they believe they can make the three-headed cornerback situation work with Sheppard, Samuel and Sheldon Brown all receiving considerable playing time.

But the fact that Sheppard has opted to boycott this camp is further evidence that he'd prefer to play elsewhere in 2008. An attempt to reach Sheppard today was unsuccessful.

So its not a big deal, I’m more intrigued by that quote by Johnson…i would pray to the spaghetti monster to get him in green

lito, lito, lito… you’re adding fuel to the fire. i know the workouts are voluntary, but you knew this would attract more media attention so why do it? then, the ocho cinco comment just adds to the drama even further.

it is interesting that johnson has now included philly into the mix (previously, he only mentioned dallas as a possible suitor)...

Oh, whatever. If he had showed up, they still would’ve wrote their stupid articles. There’s nothing to see here, folks. Move along.
