BGN Meetup at Training Camp

Ahh yes, it's almost here! I can smell that wonderful smell of Lehigh. A time when all things are right in the world! Anyway, I got to thinking today that since it appears it going to be nearly impossible to do a BGN game (maybe ever), we should start an annual BGN day at Training Camp. I for one think it'd be cool to put faces with screennames.

What do you guys think about August 1st. I know its just ST in the afternoon but I thought a Friday might have the best chance of suiting the most people

hmmm I'm in New Orleans

July 24th – July 29th … would be kind of difficult to take 4 days off come back for 2 and then take a Friday off … but if thats what it takes I’ll do my best … it would definitely be cool to put some faces to names.

I’m in… Like I said before, I work like 10 minutes from Lehigh U, so no biggie for me.

Not sure I can go up this year but here’s my thoughts from the last two years if this helps:

In ‘06 I went one of the last days of camp, and it wasn’t crowded at all, making it a lot easier to get a better view, get away from campus during the break between practices, and buy merchandise (and probably meet players, too. I’m not a big collector of autographs or anything). Saw ST practice in the afternoon—it wasn’t as interesting as the morning, but it was cool. Don’t go up for it if you’re only going for the afternoon session, though.

Last year I went one of the first days of camp—it’s cool because there’s way more media and excitement, but I thought the hitting that goes on was pretty overrated. I didn’t think there was that much of a difference between the morning session with and without hitting.

I’m guessing August 1 would be pretty quiet up there.

Yeah

last year I went that week and it was a great time to meet players. I met TKO and Trotter… baskett and jason avant

I know TKO’s not an Eagle anymore (and btw, where is he now?) but that man is HUGE

Concretefield can suck it

Any chance the birds sign him again?

I think he is better than he played last year. I’d bet they sign him again if someone gets banged up in camp and he’s still sitting out there

In 06 Dawkins signed my Eagles Insider…

Read it and weep!

Weekdays are definitely the way to go. Less people, plus it’s always nice to play hooky from work for a day…
