Imus Pacman Jones audio
This isn't really Eagles related, but it's football related and hey... it's the offseason. This is the latest tempest in a teapot over some comments made by radio guy Don Imus about Cowboys CB Adam "Pacman" Jones(I'm not dropping the Pacman!)
Don Imus said Tuesday morning on his radio show that he was trying to "make a sarcastic point" with his latest on-air remarks about race, but that they had been misunderstood.
Imus resurrected his radio career six months ago with a pledge to mend the wounds caused by a racist and sexist comment he made about a women's basketball team.
You tell me, is this offensive?
Then choir boy Pacman Jones feigned outrage over the incident...
"I'm truly upset about the comments," Jones said. "Obviously Mr. Imus has problems with African-Americans. I'm upset, and I hope the station he works for handles it accordingly. I will pray for him."
WABC and Citadel Broadcasting Corp. Vice President Phil Boyce said Monday that it was unlikely the broadcasters would take disciplinary action against Imus.
God I can't wait for football season...

funny
Pacman said that ….”he will pray for him.” Does that sound a bit crazy to anyone else? This guy can’t spend even one week out of trouble and now he’s going to pray for someone else???
Oh I can’t wait to see how he reacts to EAGLE fans!!!! I never make it to a game living in Wisconsin so I hope that everyone just gives it to him!!!!

Man I'm tired of the whole race thing
Racist’s are stupid, but they’re also not just white like Imus.
However, Imus just doesnt get it that he cant say stuff like that

Can someone fill me in
Can someone look out for a brother and fill me in on what Imus said. I’m at work and my cheap PC soundcard hasn’t been properly installed and I don’t have user authority to fix it. I also can’t view any videos on this crapper.
You don’t need to give me a verbatim, but just paraphrase it. Thanks.

Imus asked
“What Color is he?”

Imus says that he was trying to point out that Pacman has been unfairly targeted because he’s black.

It sure was clever
He couldn’t have came up with a funnier excuse. Its like being caught stealing and you tell the cops that you were only gonna use the money for charity.

What a dope
Thats pretty stupid of him to say something like that. I think Pacman is an idiot not because he black, but because hes a chump and a loser.
But Imus is an even bigger dope, he makes Sharpton look like a genius.

Count me in
I hated what Imus said that first time as well, but I still, to this day, believe that it was only that big of story because there was literally nothing else going on in the news at the time.
What he said was wrong and made him look stupid, but I’m not totally sure he deserved to loose his job over it.
And for the record, as much of an idiot as Imus is, i think that Rutgers coach fits right in with him

Can I think Imus shouldn’t have said that, while still thinking Pacman is an idiot?
If so, I’ll take that.

Imus's station doesn't even seem to care
Probably because it was Pacman (and not because he’s black) but because of all the trouble he has been in. Not to mention the two other people on Imus’s show are black (man and woman) and they didn’t seem to think anything was wrong with it.
Personally I love this country because we have the ability to speak our minds and say what we want, even if it does expose you and make you look like a complete moron it’s your right to do so.
