Beautiful Picture

this is something that i actually want to see happen. Lito lining up with Asante. I dont see where the problem is. Tell Lito to stay put for a year, see how he does and maybe help him out with his contract. Seldon has no problem moving to safety or nickel. He said so himself!  with dawkins, sheldon, lito, and asante, we could really have one of the best secondary in the league. This picture was really beautiful.

Poll
Would you rather see Lito kept or traded, relased, etc?
  • Keep him!
  • Gotta Go, we dont need a distraction.

i actually saw this comming

and i wouldnt be surprised if they were the starting 2, does that mean i wouldnt take roy jones or ocho cinco with a trade proposal for lito ? in a heart beat ! not because i think we dont need lito ! we need lito ! but sheldon is just as good to fill his shoes if to be traded and as you have said and sheldon has been quoted …. he has no problem changing to saftey or playing nickle … he has said he rather be a pass rusher than a coverage db … i honestly was expecting an assbackwards deal for sheldon opposed to lito …. roll of the dice thing for the birds ( the risk factor being litos health) but i would love nothing more than to see asante and lito side by side all season as we see here …

Really dude? Roy Jones? You think he’s make an impact with the Eagles? I know he has quick hands but he is getting up there in age. Not to mention if you’ve watched him any time recently, you’d know he can’t take a hit. I think you were going for Roy Williams there bud

Awesome picture

Look at how goddamn menacing they look. Lito looks like he’s going to kill someone and Asante has an evil smile on his face. If I was a QB I would not enjoy seeing that from across the line…

Has Sheldon actually said that he wouldn’t mind moving to safety??? I don’t want to rain on any parades or anything, because that’s the exact move I was hoping for the day they signed Asante, but I don’t remember Sheldon actually signing off on it. From what I rememeber he has said that he doesn’t like playing outside and would rather play the slot CB so he is able to blitz (which he does an really good job at), but I don’t remember him saying he’d actually move to safety. If I’m wrong, someone please point a link out where he says it… If that’s the case, I’d be a happy guy.

also… anyone have any idea what was going on in this picture? were they running drills against the O? If so, anyone have any clue how the hell the O was lined up? It just seems strange to see 2 CBs that close before the snap… Unless this is one of those new crazy coverage schemes Johnson was talking about… ???

I don't think Sheldon mentioned anything about moving to safety

I’m pretty sure he only made remarks about playing slot corner.

They are lined up next to eachother because they play the same position they are just running plays/walk throughs.

whodie

i cant remember what article but is was early lito trade talk when speculations of moving sheldon to safety he was asked if he would consider and he said something along the lines of ill play where im needed … dont quote me though !

fair enough

I can see him saying that because Sheldon is usually pretty good with the media. I’m really hoping they can work something out. I guess I’m kind of hoping that Lito sees the team and takes a step back and says … wow with me in the seconday we could be amazing and actually win a Superbowl … and then he swallows his pride and plays this year for a better contract or trade next year.

If I got a chance to play the sport I love and win a championship at the highest level of said sport, I would be okay with only making 3 million dollars that year. Shit I would be okay the the league minimum salary of $285,000.

I’ve been hoping ever since Asante arrived that Lito, Asante and Sheldon line up together in the secondary this year. And I’ve never been really worried that Lito would be traded, I think the FO means it when they say that they want to keep him. Lito is also acting like the class act that he is. I’m really relaxed about it, I really think we will have all three guys on our team this year.

The NFC East goes through Philly.
