Lito Sheppard...the WR?
According to Allthingsphillysports, the Eagles are looking at playing Lito at WR. I don't know what to think about this. If Sheppard gets injured while playing only defense, the logical assumption is that he would be even more injury prone when playing both sides of the ball. He has good hands and is very good with the ball in his hands, no doubt about that. He certainly would be no red zone threat, and would simply be another speedy 5 foot 10 wideout. The positive side is that there would certainly be a lot of speed and explosiveness with Curtis, Jackson, Sheppard, Booker and Westbrook. Let's wait and see if the Eagles actually decide to do this. Pretty interesting. Check out http://allthingsphillysports.blogspot.com/2008/05/lito-sheppard-could-play-reciever.html

I don’t think this is anything more than a little carrot they’re dangling to get Lito to show up to the OTAs. He’s said for years he’d like to get some snaps on offense… I doubt there’s any real plans for him to actually do it in a game, but they’ll let him do it in practice to make him happy.
Put him on
Just putting him on the field would cause problems for a defense if its done a limited number of times.
Drew Bledsoe knows he has a keen sense for getting down the field to the end zone, and Marion Barber knows he has speed.
I heard about this last night.
It sounded like the rumor was mentioned on 950AM. Ike Reese on WIP was absolutely ridiculing it.
I think Lito’s best use is at CB, but I wouldn’t mind a few packages for him on offense. He’s got a nose for the end zone…just ask Drew Bledsoe.
"He’s in trouble. Whatever he throws me, I’m going to hit it."

Sounds good but no
Well this could only happen if we had more depth at corner. If Lito gets hurt we will have Samuel-Brown-Hanson-person who barely makes team-person who barely makes team. But than again if we do it and it works his trade value could go up.

What about PR or KR
I was thinking about this all weekend. But along with Jackson, Demps and a few others. Sheppard has a history of returning punts and kicks, and a pretty decent history. Has anyone heard anything about him getting back at doing that again? I know with Jackson in the mix it’s slim, but he would be a decent backup or think of Jackson and Sheppard back returning kicks. Not a bad visual in my mind.
