Around SBN: Jeremy Lin And How The Pac-12 Missed Him

Food for Thought

Micheal Strahan has been debating weather to return or not, now out of the blew he decides to ask for a new $8 million contract for this year to return. i am convinced at this point all he wants is money he does not care about the team he is all about him self and now with a superbowl ring he wants money or not to play. with this being said i feel that if he feels he can get the money elsewhere the giants would let him go since thay have so much yound tallent. if that does happen would you want him? he would no doubt help this D and we do have the money. would you want his problems and bagedge. he would fit really nice opposit from cole and i belive he would  make this deffence unstoppable.

Do you think he is worth our while?

P.S i dont think this is likely i am just saying its "food for thought"

Don't want him.

I don’t think we have the roster space for him, especially given his age/salary demands….

im npt so muh worried about his age and salery because he would be a one year deal or someting like that. i am moreso worried about his carictor issues. i think he is an a hole

Strahan is probably

my favorite NFL player on any team that doesn’t have wings on the helmet. Dude makes me crack up – “Us gap toothed people gotta stick together”
That said – I wouldn’t want him.
He has spent 1 year learning Jim Johnson’s system (Spag’s version of it at least) so the learning curve would be quick. That said however, we’ve just invested a draft pick and a few free agent dollars to get faster off the edge; You know, bullets. Is Strahan a bullet? Earlier in his career he might have been a musket ball, but I don’t think he’s ever been a bullet. I honestly hope he retires a Giant, too many great players start their career in one place and end up someplace else these days.

as much as i like strahan’s ability, i’m not sure if hiring a one year “mercenary” sends a good message to the organization. also, any peeping tom freak that video tapes his sister-in-law naked belongs behind bars or in a cowboy uniform…

go eagles!

Why?

What would be the argument (even hypothetically) for getting him for one season? Why assume he’d make our D-Line better? He did have 9 sacks last year but I think the Eagles feel like having younger talent – Abiamiri and Clemons – is preferable.

Strahan’s a great player, leader, comedian, etc., but I can’t imagine The Gap in Eagle green. He’ll either play for the Giants or retire.

are you serious????????

why the hell would we ever take strahan? clearly he wants money and he’s as old if not older than some retired NFL players. Not only that…what’s the point. Why waste money on a guy who is mainly playing for greed when we already have great defensive ends on our current roster. We have a pro-bowler in Trent Cole and just signed Chris Clemons. On top of that, we still have Jerome McDougle who still has potential and ofcourse, Darren Howard. Now please explain why for any reason we should think about signing Strahan. Shouldn’t we focus on other areas that are more important?

Um, because Strahan is (still) better than all of those guys with the possible exception of Cole, and he’d start opposite of Cole? But it still ain’t happening.

Oh, and don’t forget Abiamiri.

who cares…its one year and he’s not worth a 8 million. Our defense is great already, we should maybe focus on other areas rather than spend it on an area that is already in great shape. Maybe try and find a safety or maybe a reciever. But a defense end? Come on…thats just rediculous.

after we sign strahan, we can trade for jason taylor and have a whole slew of high paid geriatric de to play with
