Bowman

couple rumors on the Internet that we signed Adarius Bowman late today. Can anyone confirm this one. He had problems but is a nice big receiver.

Bowman unsigned still

http://www.nfldraftbible.com/Latest/2008-UNDRAFTED-FA-TRACKER.html

From the looks of that tracker, Bowman still hasn’t been picked up by anyone. Obviously we can’t tell why, but I wouldn’t have any problem if the Birds took a shot at this guy now. No way he is so bad that giving him a few workouts in Green would totally undermine our team, right?

I’m also keeping my eye out for the Long Snapper out of Miami, John Rochford. Very underrated guy. This kid played DL, FB, and every OL position in college. 6’2” 290 with a 4.9, 40. He has quick feet and soft hands. Would be a quality special teamer at the very least.

it looks like

they are going after some big recivers now.

now dont get me wrong but isnt this a bit late, i feel we had a better chance of gettting a great player in the draft

McBride

The kid is good. Needs work but I’d say from watching him all season he does have good upside.

Golden

Golden was hurt a bit in 2006 but had a decent year this year at PSU. It looked to me he was the best blocking wideout (since our others are smaller) and was used mostly in that situation. “Hey look, TG is in, it’s a run.” His bread and butter last year was slipping into the flat (I think off PA) where he could usually get some yards (likely due to the fact he was usually used for blocking).

He wasn't especially electrifying,

but I’m glad he was given a chance. He was a really good senior leader and he played his position well. He at least deserves a shot, and I’m glad the Eagles were willing to give him one…although they did pick up some other UFA WRs as well.
