Is this too much to hope for?

For some reason, I haven't noticed anyone comparing DeSean Jackson to this guy...

Am I the only one who thinks Steve Smith is overrated? He had one great season, every other year he’s kinda meh. I don’t know if it’s because of his QB or what, but other than that one play where he pulled some Matrix bullshit and somehow broke out of a gang tackle I don’t really remember him being that spectacular.

Actually, this whole game shows some pretty awesome stuff from Smith, including that Matrix touchdown…

Maybe his inconsistent numbers are from inconsistent QB play. Idunno.

If you could get Steve Smith for a mid Second Round pick, would you do it?
He’s never going to be Plaxico in the red zone, but between the 20’s…
I guess you pull him when we’re inside the 10 and replace him with Baskett or Avant…

you guys are all crazy. Steve Smith is one of the best receivers in the game. He has terrible qb play and no threats on the field besides himself. The whole defense is focused on him every play. He attacks the ball as well or better than any other receiver and is sick after the catch.

If DeSean Jackson turns into Steve Smith v2.0 I’d be one ecstatic Eagles fan.
Hence the question, “Is this too much to hope for?”

jackson has great straight line speed but lacks the cutting ability that smith has. also, smith is a fierce competitor whereas jackson seems a bit soft like dante stallworth. i guess i’ll take a younger stallworth right now…

have you seen the videos of him breaking ankles on returns

yeah you’re right he lacks cutting ability.
