I am a playmaker, If the Eagles wanted a playmaker, they got one as a steal in this draft. I am not a Pro Bowl player, I'm a Super Bowl player. I am ready to go. I am fired up. - New Eagles Safety Quinton Demps

lol well alright then
the guy sounds cocky enough :P
I hope he can learn the defense well from an aging star like B-Dawk

as jimmy johnson once said… “if you’re gonna talk the talk, you gotta walk the walk”
if the kid turns out to be a Fred-Ex on defense, the fans will let him know it.

He reminds me of Dawk so much.
This kid is an absolute blaze on Defense and once he learns how to do the flying tackle from Dawk he will be a stud. Extremely excited to see this kid in Midnight Green laying out TO and Plax.

I think he said he couldn’t wait to learn from Dawkins because they’re both Christians.

yeah I saw that.
He has the attitude of a safety that’s what I love. I also like that he has return experience and has played both Safety spots as well as Corner in college.

I like this kid.
Of course, I was pretty fired up about CJ Gaddis, too.
Why the Hell Not?

The difference is that CJ Gaddis had the “more athlete than football player” tag. He was drafted on potential in the hopes that he could convert that athleticism into being a god safety. Demps was a very productive safety in college. Much moreso than Gaddis. We’ll see if he can cut it at this level, but he’s just a better football player than Gaddis ever was.

like em
Im excited. The way he talks gets you pumped to see what he can do. Hes confident without being too cocky. Hopefully he can impress coaches during mini camp and win the starting strong safety job or atleast rep in at nickel cb.

i would not be surprised if i see this rotation in our secondary next year.
Asante at left cb
Lito at right cb
b. dawkins where he is
demps and sheldon rotating at the second safety spot

I would be slightly.
You will more than likely see Asante LCB, Lito and Sheldon Splitting time as RCB and at Nickel. Look at what we did when we had Al Harris, Taylor and Vincent.
I agree as most do that Dawk and Sheldon manning the safeties and Lito and Asante at the corners would be an amazing secondary and would love to see it happen. But if Sheldon moves it won’t be to split time with a rookie.
But Dawk and Sheldon at safeties no receiver would want to cross that middle two of the biggest hitters in the game.

AR said something to that effect yesterday:
AR: I look at them like 3 starters
AR: We’ll use them like we did when we had Al Bobby and Troy…
Anyway this secondary is sick and we may just have upgraded our pass rush. I hope all works out.
