Boldin rumors swirling

Talk about conflicting info...

First Mortenson says the Eagles are after him

In addition to getting turned down by the Bengals in their trade proposal for disgruntled Johnson, the Redskins were also rejected this weekend on their trade proposal to the Cardinals for wide receiver Anquan Boldin, sources said.

Boldin is unhappy with contract after Cardinals paid big bucks to fellow Arizona wideout Larry Fitzgerald. The Cards say that they won't re-do Boldin's deal so he's asked out.

In addition, the Eagles also have inquired to the Cardinals about Boldin and are dangling Lito Sheppard as part of a deal. The Cards are saying no for now.

But the AZ Central says Boldin isn't going anywhere...

Other teams have inquired about trading for Cardinals receiver Anquan Boldin, and his agent has asked if the team would be willing to part with him. On both counts, Cardinals officials had one simple answer: No.

"We're not interested in trading Anquan," General Manager Rod Graves said. "That's the short of it."

"Obviously, because of those rumors, a few teams have called to inquire," Graves said, "and my response has been consistent with everyone: We're not interested in trading him."

The trade talk is more than just rumor, however. Boldin wants a new contract in the neighborhood of Fitzgerald's. Boldin's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, recently asked the team if it would be willing to trade his client, according to Cardinals officials.

The Cardinals said no, nor do they plan to allow Rosenhaus to seek a trade.

"Anquan is a quality person and a great player," Graves said. "We're hoping we can agree on a longer-term deal."

Graves went on to say the trade request is not a new tactic for Rosenhaus. "We have not heard that (trade request) from Anquan," Graves said.

I suppose we'll see come draft day...

I think NFL owners should get together, pitch in $5,000,000 each, and try and persuade Drew Rosenhaus to retire.

I think we will work something out

I beleive that we will work somekinda deal or trade with someone. Who knows? I would love Boldin. It would surprise me to see the birds just stay tight @ #19 and draft Devin Thomas though. All of our questions will be answered by Sunday won’t they.

Ooh, I got it. Anquan Boldin for Chad Johnson, straight up. Man, I bet they’d both be pissed.

The Eagles better do something

Because their draft was horrible and the rest of the NFC East drafted very well yesterday. Big Red and Co. better get their heads out of their arses.
