MOCK DRAFT
The Eagles main areas of concern in my opinion go:
- Wide Reciever (a big guy who will be able to score in the endzone; this will help meet McNabb's, Westbrooks, and Runyan's plea for more weapons)
- Offensive Tackle (someone who will suceed either Runyan or Thomas)
- Free Safety (hopeful successor of Brian Dawkins; Mikell will be moved to starting Strong Safety)
- Defensive End (a role player in passing situations and who will bring Cole off of special teams)
- Tight End (L.J. will be gone after this year and there is still alot of questions with Celek [will he develop into a better blocker?])
- Cornerback (more depth is needed especially if Lito is traded)
- Linebacker (more depth would be nice, and some competition will push these young developing backers to their limit)
- Runningback (someone who could be mentored under West for a while until Brian's age begins to catch up with him)
EAGLE'S PREDICTED PICKS
1 (#19)- James Hardy, Wide Reciever: Indiana
2 (#49)- Chris Johnson, Running Back: East Carolina
3 (#80)- Barry Richardson, Offensive Tackle: Clemson
4 (#115)- Craig Steltz, Safety: LSU
4 (#131)- Chris Harrington, Defensive End: Texas A&M
5 (#152)- Jeremy Leman, Inside Linebacker: Illinois
6 (#184)- Joey Haynos, Tight End: Maryland
6 (#191)- Zack Bowman, Cornerback: Nebraska
6 (#200)- Shawn Murphy, Offensive Guard: Utah St.
6 (#203)- Davone Boss, Wide Reciever: Hawaii
7 (#230)- Doug Legursky, Center: Marshall

DE - We already picked up that situational pass rusher you want... Clemons. We don't specifically need a DE to play ST so Cole doesn't have to, anyone can take his place. Clemons is pretty young, I don't see the need to waste a pick on a guy like someone we just signed.
LB - Once again, we picked up some depth at LB via free agency. Sure it'd be nice to have a few more, but how many do you want to carry on the roster? Also, if you want to add depth to an extremely young LB corps, do it with veterans. What happens if your young LBs are all backed by rooks and someone goes down? Odds are that rook isn't going to be able to step in and be as effective as they would need to be.
Other than that I can't really argue with your positions too much.

My gut feeling...
Honestly, I see the Birds moving up in both rounds 1 and 2 and taking Offensive Line and Wideout respectively...
As far as the remainder of the draft is concerned, it gives me a headache trying to keep up with the Colorado Buffaloes let alone the rest of the NCAA...

don't agree
The only way I want a wideout is via trade for a proven one (Bolden, Williams) which likely won’t happen. I don’t see the Eagles drafting one, well at least not early. They certainly won’t be trading up in the first or second round for one. There isn’t a wideout in this draft that can help the Eagles this year. Round one the birds MUST (and will) take one of the top Offensive Line prospects (Albert, Williams, Otah-preferably Albert) even if it means trading up. If anything has been proven in the NFL it’s that games are won on the offensive and defensive line. Our tackles are old and talent like this in a draft at that position doens’t come around very often. They are can’t miss picks and the Eagles will get 8-10 years of solid production from whichever lineman they take. May be the boring pick but it is also the correct one. The only other pick that would be acceptable would be if Chris Long or Vernon Gholston fell far enough for them to move up and grab one of them which is unlikely. I’ve read that the Eagles don’t need a D end because they signed Chris Clemmons. I like Chris Clemmons, but he is a 3rd down rushing DE who plays a role. With Bunkley and Patterson signed, Trent Cole and Jaqua Thomas signed, a young a promising Abiamiri and Clemmons as situational pass rushers, the birds are one solid DE away from having a D-line reminiscent of the early 90’s birds. They’ll be young and they’ll be together for years. That would make Howard expendable and we can dump that contract elsewhere. It makes total sense. Both Chris Long and Vernon Gholston can lineup at DE or LB which give Jim Johnson all kinds of flexibility to be creative like he is. With that said, I think they adress this position in round 2. Unless one of the top LB fall in the 2nd, they most likely will go OT in the first and DE in the second. I can see them taking a corner in the 2nd too but we’ll have to see who is sitting there. They can adress Safety in the third since the safety’s in this draft are pretty much interchangeable. This is all based on them keeping all these picks which is unlikely since I feel like they’ll be making a play for Bolden which will probably include their 3rd rounder or even their 2nd.
I forgot to mention Clady in my Tackle prospects. We can’t forget about him because dude is a beast
