DRAFT OPTIONS: Thers oh so many

The Eagles option with the number 19th overall pick in the 2008 NFL draft is a difficult spot to be in. The possibilities are endless as to what they could do with this pick, especially since they have needs at both sides of the ball. The main areas of concern are at Offensive Tackle, Wide Reciever, Defensive Tackle, Free Safety, return specialist, and possibly Inside Linebacker.
Explanations:
OT- I never want to see what I saw in week 4 of last season ever again when Winston Justice allowed 6 sacks on Donovan McNabb via Osi Umenyiora.
Wide Reciever- Donovan wants more weapons, then give him more weapons. Curtis would make a killer slot reciever(Wes Welker like), Reggie Brown would be the 3rd option with great route running skills, while the new reciever would be that deep threat.
Defensive Tackle- Pressure up the middle is something that the Eagles lacked last season.
Free Safety- Brian Dawkins is most likely calling it a career after this year, but who better to mentor a young agressive free safety right out of college then Dawk.
Kick/Punt returner- I don't think that I remember one return last year that made it past 30 yards besides Brian Westbrook's at Seattle that went for about 60.
ILB- By brining in another linebacker you give more depth to the linebaking core.

Well
first off no disrespect but expectially is not a word I believe you meant especially.

Second I would have liked to see Malcom Kelly in your poll.

Third:
OT- Winston Justice against Osi was bad but the guy was playing against a pro bowler, during his first ever start in the NFL, and on the Left side and he is a RT and it makes a huge difference.
Wide Reciever- I agree we need a true #1 reciever but give Curtis a chance he showed signs of greatness and it was his first year as a true starter.
Defensive Tackle- Disagree Bunkley was great in his second year Lajuan Ramsey is a solid player and Mike Patterson can play when he isn't high.
Free Safety- We should probably think about this but I'm pretty sure everyone was impressed with Quintin Mikell and the have the young Marcus Paschal from Iowa.
Kick/Punt returner- Definitely a need here I hope the Birds go out there and get a returner and abandon there long standing belief that a returner HAS to play another position.
ILB- Can't hurt to add some depth but they could probably use a cheap veteran to help out not another young buck.

laws
what do you guys think about trevor laws. he is definately a 4-3 kinda guy and even if he can't push to start on day one he could make an impact because JJ loves rotating DT. it is also possible he could slip to 19 or even into the second round, he seems to be overlooked and he is one of those motor guys like cole that never stop

Laws
He will be a backup NFL tackle. He would be worth a late 3rd or 4th round pick. I like the kid and what I saw at the combine but he is just to small for our defense. He dominated in college but will get eaten up by NFL offensive lineman

Hardy
I hear James Hardy Is really shooting up peoples boards. A couple teams are rumored to have him as the top receiver. He ran a great 40 (4.5) and is 6'7". So basically he is bigger and faster than Marques Colston!

who would be a good fit on the eagles
i like sweed or kelly in the 1st round if they're available.  hardy is tall but too raw to make a significant contribution right away.  if they're gone, pick one of the corners like jenkins (speed guy) or brandon flowers (good tackler).  i know philips is the best safety available, but i think he's going to turn out to be an underachiever unless he goes to a team with strong player leadership on the defensive side like the patriots or ravens.  with only bdawk left and trotter gone, eagles don't have many leaders on defense anymore.

2nd - if jonathan stewart drops this low after his surgery, eagles should jump all over him.  if john carlson TE is available at our spot, this could be an intriguing selection.

3rd - i really like Tom Zbikowski FS from Notre Dame for this pick.  he's a typical lunch pail tough guy type that we love.  plus he returns punts.

7th - if cameron colvin (WR from Oregon) is available, we should gamble on this kid and see what he can do.  He was a top high school talent that showed glimpses of his abilities during college but ran into bad luck with injury.  a definite project, but it's only a 7th round pick...
