possible trade
now that we signed asante, we have three pro bowl caliber cbs. especially with sheldon already unhappy when donovan asked for playmakers, now that we got one, and at the same position he plays, i can only imagine what his reactio might be. hopefully it will be a non issue and we can move people around, but we could also consider a trade. Mikell was playing well at the end of the year last year, and dawkins will hopefully be back to form this season. while i like depth in the secondary, one thing that i think might be worth trying is trading lito or sheldon to detroit (who many mock drafts have taking a cornerback in the first round) and maybe a draft pick for roy williams. this would be a big reciever to help out our red zone offense. we signed asante, and reid already said he'll be starting at corner. why not try a trade to better our offense? imagine curtis' numbers if people are worried about roy williams when he had a 1000 yard season with people only worrying about him and reggie brown.

Word is
Ocho is a no go. Jevon's knee is supposedly shot.
Donte may be our best bet. Maybe we draft someone?

mehhh
Stallworth and Moss are probably our two only hopes. McNabb spoke right after the signing, and they specifically asked him about free agent WRs. He pretty much said that Curtis/Brown/Avant all had great years and that they can be successful with them and having LJ Smith back. Honestly, with what's out there, if we don't go after Moss, I'm happy drafting a WR in the 1st round.
Curtis had a better first year here than Stallworth did. I really don't see a HUGE upgrade there. If we want to spread the field more, and have a deep threat, maybe we should use the guys we have more effectively. I'd hate to tell everyone but Greg Lewis is extremely fast and has good hands. He tore the Pats up pretty good this year for us. He just didn't get the snaps, that's all.
Let's look at the Giants this year. Overall, their offense was slightly above average, at best. Even in their playoff run, it was nothing spectacular. They did just enough to win. What won the Super Bowl? Defense... Brady played half the game from his back. I'd much rather us keep our secondary as it stands now, upgrade the D-Line to get pressure on the QB and upgrade our OL to keep the pressure of McNabb.
Everyone points out how explosive our offense was with Owens. Hate to tell everyone, but we had an explosive offense prior to his arrival, and we didn't skip a beat in the playoffs while he was out as well... Let's work on keeping out QB on his feet, plant the opponent's in the ground, and get turnovers. Honestly, if we utilize the people we have offensively better, we're fine. Did Randy Moss and "the greatest offense ever" win the Super Bowl??? Nope...

Stallworth as an upgrade
What about an upgrade over Avant? I think most people would agree with that.
Stallworth isn't going to be a #1 WR, but then again he wont' be paid like one either.

Stallworth
I definitely don't think throwing $10 million at Moss will make things all better though...

I'm just curious to see if Stallworth will deal with us or if he feels we had the chance to resign him to a multi-year deal last year and missed our chance... time will tell I guess.
