No letdowns next week!

This team has now beaten the best of the AFC and the best of the NFC with wins against the Steelers and Giants.  That should make next week's game against Cleveland an easy win, right?

Not so fast....

Does anyone else worry that next week could be a letdown against the sucky Browns with their third string QB on MNF?   How do you keep the Eagles focused and pumped against such a crap opponent?

Hmm

I worry about it, but honestly, the team seems pretty focused to me right now. As long as Marty is still handling the playcalling, I think everyone realizes that not only the season – but their jobs – are on the line.

Also, this team generally plays well in December. That loss to Baltimore really seemed to wake them up.

only the big guy upstairs knows how this team is going to play week in, week out.

jin, good post

that’s a good point…eagles cant have a let down game at home…the browns are horrible…but they were able to put together a nice game and beat the giants…they’re not the detroit lions or the bengals…but…well…we all saw how the birds played against the bengals…

this is a game…we have to come out and blow the browns away…make a statement….

i guarantee if the eagles lose badly to the browns and mcnabb doesn’t play well…all the people that are on his nuts now. ….(yes, the same people that wanted kolb) will be back on the “trade him” express

let’s look for the RECEIVERS (cough, baskett, cough curtis, cough avant) to get back on tracks against the Browns

I am a sucker....

Despite knowing that we won’t get into the playoffs without a lot of help, I still get all pumped up, thinking there’s a chance. Ajay had a good perspective in Jason’s post-game write up. We’re still on the outside looking in. We won’t get into the playoffs without help. We should be happy with the good performance against the Giants but not get carried away.

But somehow I keep thinking, the Giants sucked last season until December, and they won the Superbowl. Even though I probably know better, there’s still the hope that the Eagles can make a run for it. I went for the bait.

So if they’re going to get eliminated from playoff contention, at least let it be by a contender, and not a team whose season is already insignificant. Let’s hope we get these Eagles we saw today showing up next week.

i dont know jjin, the only team that has to lose is atlanta

that might be on the outside looking in, but it’s still pretty darn good….

if atlanta loses 1 of their last 3 games…and we win out…we’re in

if marty continues to call the plays we can win out IMO!
