Last BIG win for the Eagles as underdog?
Please remind me fellow birds fanatics...when was the last time the Eagles were in a must-win situation as a pretty big underdog....and actually won?
Playoffs and Super Bowls are obviously must-win situations...so those and regular season games like this Sunday's qualify...
Any come to mind?
I'm just reminded of countless times where we lost big games as an underdog....or lost big games as a favorite....
What does everyone think?

Hmm
We had nothing to play for, but last year’s win on the road against Dallas was pretty big. Anything that helps Dallas’ late season collapses is good.
Back when we were in playoff contention and an underdog…maybe the three straight road wins in ’06 against the NFC East? We were underdogs and we pulled it out.
call me a homer...
but i really really think we will win sunday!
an Eagles fan should be an Eagles fan during an 0-16 season
and when we do...
There’s a certain little someone who may have to become undead to me as I will harass them mercilessly

The three straight division road games in ’06?
If not that, you probably have to go all the way back to the 2001 NFC Divisional Playoff game at Soldier Field for the last big win as an underdog.
I wonder if I can bill Jeff Lurie and Peter Angelos for the years of therapy their teams are going to put me through.
This Year
How about the Steelers game? It wasn’t “must-win” and we might have been favored, but how do we usually fare against good AFC teams? Not well. I was surprised we beat them.
i dont know...
the cowboys and giants weren’t all that great of teams in 2006 to be honest….
when we played the boys, they were 9-5, when we played the giants they were 7-7, not exactly dominant…
i rate the monday night win against the giants back in 2001 bigger than 2006….we had lost to the g men 5 straight times there, including the postseason from 97-00. we won the game 10-9 on donovan’s td pass to thrash. (i don’t think anyone expected us to win that game – especially with the giants fresh off their super bowl appearance in 2000)
and then there’s the win against the boys in 1996, 31-21. everyone remembers the james willis interception.
we hadn’t won at texas stadium in 4 years, from 1992-1995. in that span, we lost 6 times…4 regular season games and 2 postseason games….(by the way, the boys won 3 super bowls…) and were primed for another during the 1996 season…though they did struggle….
2006 was a great run but…it just wasnt at the magnitude of those other games…this game fits that magnitude…
