According to McNabb, He's Played Great This Year
From the Inquirer:

I know you don't say, "I sucked" because he hasn't. I wouldn't say he was great, but a better answer would probably be something like, "We're 8-6-1, I'm not satisfied with that." An answer of "I think I've played great" after this season sums up everthing that is wrong with this team and just grates on frustrated Eagles fans. Overall, I do like Donovan McNabb, but too many times he just doesn't seem to get it.
I may be wrong but this part of the article kind of pissed me off:
When Reid was asked if he plans to run the ball more against Dallas, he said, "Yeh, I think we're going to run it every down. Merry Christmas to you and the fans."
In the past, I thought Reid kind of got it with the fans. This is just a total dick head comment from him, especally after the past 2 seasons. Sorry if you guys disagree.

Man I’m sick of people complaining about this shit.
McNabb doesn’t answer to us, Reid doesn’t answer to us. They just totally don’t give a fuck what the fans or media think. When are you guys gonna get it? You’ll be a lot happier as a fan once you realize it.

My problem with it is the continued arrogance from an organization that has not made the playoffs 3 out of the last 4 seasons and never won a Super Bowl. Essentially, Reid’s comments were an F you to everyone. To a certain extent, they are answerable to fans because we are the customers that pay the salaries for these guys.
I’ll be a happier fan when I think they really understand how to build a Super Bowl winner.

If you want a super bowl winner, root for the fuckin Cowboys. I’m an Eagles fan and I’m gonna be if they don’t win a super bowl for 50 years. They still don’t answer to you or care if you think they really understand how to build a super bowl winner.

First I’d like to hear the question McNabb was asked and his full answer because I don’t trust reporters who want a story. Second, McNabb statistically has played very well, great probably would have won more games IMO.
Reids comment was brilliant, isn’t this what fans were looking for, more of a charismatic coach. Who the fuck cares, if someone was pissing down my back after all I had done for them I would be sarcastic too. When Reid is winning everyone loves him the second he loses a game everyone forgets about all that and wants him fired. I’d be sticking it to the media and fans every chance I got.
"I need to do a better job of putting players in the right position to perennially come up short of expectations"
Wow!
I thought you Philly losers were crazy to get rid of Andy. He is a good coach. He consistently out coaches the Redskins’ and Cowboys’ coach each year(not saying much).
But damn, he just doesn’t care. Good luck with all of that.

I love this Cowboys trolls
They don’t even belong to Blogging the Boys. They create accounts on our blog just to be cool. Nice…
sorry dude
The Cowboys blog has good articles from Rafael Vela. Other than that the fans drive me crazy. Was my post that intimidating to you?

people need to
just get of McNabb’s nuts.
He hasn’t won the Super Bowl. Criticize him for that. Shoot, I want the Birds to win a Super Bowl more than anything in the world.
Without McNabb, the Birds are irrelevant not contenders. Go head point to Jeff Garcia and Feeley all you want. Those were 5 or 6 game streaks. NOT ENTIRE SEASONS.
Now the geniuses think McNabb’s selfish because he said he has played great. He has.
So get off his nuts.
Andy and Donnie
Have their flaws but, shit, they gave us our greatest era ever. We went to 3 NFC championships, went to a super bowl. If TO hadn’t turned into a nightmare and McNabb hadn’t had some unlucky injuries, things might be very different. Ya know, Owens WAS underpaid and a couple more million could have shut him up, nipped things in the bud. But the front office took the hard line and next thing we knew, he was talking about how he wasn’t the one who got tired at the end of the Super Bowl and that he’d take Favre over McNabb. Ahh, PTSD! PTSD! I’ll stop now.
Point is, McNabb and Reid have given us the hope of a victory for the past decade.
Allow me to remind you… Rich Koitte was once our head coach. So was Ray Rhodes.
That being said, if only Reid could occaisonaly save a couple time outs for the end of games and get his plays in quicker. Sigh,
