Around SBN: Raiders' GM Begins The Purge

Eagles Playoff Scenario

Eagles get the final NFC Wildcard spot if:

*Win against Cowboys AND

*Bucs lose to Raiders AND

*Vikings lose to Giants OR Bears lose to Texans.

Then the standings would be:

Eagles 9-6-1

***************

Cowboys 9-7

Vikings OR Bears 9-7 (or one could be 10-6, NFC North division winner)

Bucs 9-7

It can happen.  What do we think? Go Raiders! Go Giants! Go Texans!

But most of all, GO EAGLES

improbable, but far from impossible! Bears loss tonight would have made it so much easier!

dammit. I’m working late, and the Bears were losing last I’d seen. stupid f***ing Packers. Why’d they have to go all Eagle on us.

I wonder if I can bill Jeff Lurie and Peter Angelos for the years of therapy their teams are going to put me through.

how many times is a blocked kick going to bite us in the ass?

I swear i’ve never seen this many blocked kicks in one season!

I didnt realize that a Minnesota loss does the same as a bears loss… however i cant imagine Eli and the starters play more than one series. I’d feel a lot better about that if it was being played in NY

side note:
December 28, 1996 – Dallas’ last playoff win
February 10, 1997 – Mario Kart for Nintendo 64 is released

I could see us...

…beating the Cowboys, and the Vikings would lose to the Giants, but the Bucs would beat the Raiders. And then we’d all kill ourselves.

Ive been overly optimistic lately for once in my life, but, I think the Bucs already gave us the one shot they were going to give us.

Yeah…I agree. I think we’re playing for the not unworthy consolation prize of ending Dallas’ season. I just hope that’s enough motivation for the players.

it’s hard to believe that only 1 team from the NFC east could be going to the playoffs. That sort of puts this all into perspective.

but is it the teams or the division? say we stuck the Birds in the NFC West and the Cowbitches in the NFC North… Do either/both of them win those divisions? Now also consider that we all had to play each other 6 times + the Ravens and Steelers too… that’s at least 8 out of sixteen games of pure hell… then you have the Cards with 6 games of pussy-drippings in the Niners, Seahawks, and Rams…

But T.O. and his sideline histrionics wear on a quarterback. He's like the hot stripper you tried to clean up and convert into a real girlfriend. It's a lot of fun until the moment she has her second drink while out to eat with your parents. You unravel quicker than she does.

You are like a mind reader, that’s what I was trying to get at. even the Skins would have a shot at the North or West.

Not to mention the AFC East getting to play the AFC West AND the NFC West this year.
ugh.

yeah that’s just pathetic

Oh, I never even realized this. No wonder they all suddenly improved (and the Patriots managed to win games with Cassel)

who cares about playoffs ?

Why would any Eagles fans in their right mind want THIS team to go to the playoffs. They stink. There is no question. So what would that be good for ? In fact, I think it would be terrible if we still got into the playoffs because then, Reid would get another free pass for the season. " Oh he got us to the playoffs "..-. 2008 wasn’t a losing season… bla bla
Everytime Reid sits up there and says that it he has to take all the blame and it is all his fault. If that is true then why are there no consequences ? Heck I would not want to win a Super Bowl if the Eagles played every playoff game as poorly on offense as they did last week. Thats not what it’s about. It’s about beeing the best team, beating your opponent when you have to and fighting for your goal. NOT getting their by accident or the misfortune of others. As much as I can’t stand the Cowboys, I HOPE that they’ll beat the birds!

They don’t deserve to get in. But no Eagles fan should EVER root for the Cowboys to beat the birds.

That’s just not right.
