Dawkins, Samuel named to 2008 pro bowl
No Eagles will start the pro bowl and no Eagles offensive players will be heading to Hawaii, but the Eagles two big names in the defensive secondary will be there.
Brian Dawkins makes his seventh pro bowl
Asante Samuel makes his second straight pro bowl. He's currently second in the NFC in INTS and leads the NFL passes defensed.
Despite stuffing the ballot box, Redskins fans will be disappointed to see just 4 of their players in Hawaii. The Giants & Vikings send 6 players and the Cowboys send 5.
Here is the full NFC roster. What are you thoughts? Did anyone get jobbed?

Nice
I’m happy we have two.
Here are two positions to consider:
1. McNabb: 86.7 rating, 3,511 yards, 21 TD, 11 INT, 61% completion, 7 y/a.
2. Manning: 86.4 rating, 2,938 yards, 20 TD, 10 INT, 60% completion, 6.79 y/a.
1. Mikell: 82 tackles, 2 FF, 3 INT, 6 PD
2. Wilson: 67 tackles, 2 FF, 2 INT, 2 PD
I think both of those should’ve gone the other way, but I’m obviously biased and am still happy we got 2.

Yeah I thought Mikell maybe had a shot.

gotta give him a shot at the team pro bowl appearance record.

I hope you are right
I would bring him back, but I’d still look for the heir apparent. I like Demps, but I’m not sure he’s a big time safety. I tend to see him more as a nickle back.
Nice to see former Eagle Sean Morey do well.

I do as well
But T.O. and his sideline histrionics wear on a quarterback. He's like the hot stripper you tried to clean up and convert into a real girlfriend. It's a lot of fun until the moment she has her second drink while out to eat with your parents. You unravel quicker than she does.

Mikell, Cole, Demps, McNabb all jobbed by Pro-Bowl selections
Wilson instead of Mikell?
Morey instead of Demps?
Peppers instead of Cole?
Manning instead of McNabb?

Not too worried about it....
Going to the Pro-Bowl is like being selected to the National Honor Society – looks great on a college application, but no one wants to go to the meetings and spends time trying to get out of it.
Our guys may still get there yet.

It'll be really sweet ...
… when McNabb is named the Super Bowl MVP while being snubbed for the Pro-Bowl the following week, even as the other three NFC quarterbacks will have been spending the previous month planning their tee times.
Full speed ahead for the bandwagon!

Biggest jokes
Walter Jones, Seattle? I mean, really, what the fuck? Seattle is 22nd in pass protection, and barely mediocre running left. Does he have pictures of Goddell? What does David Diehl of the Giants have to do to get the recognition he deserves this year? The Giants are #1 in the NFC running left end/left tackle combined, and are top 10 in pass protection.
John Carney for kicker? The guys is 17th ranked in the NFC for kickoffs, and there are only 16 teams! Why not Josh Brown of the Rams, who is a top ranked kickoff guy and a damn good kicker (26 of 31 on the season, 6 of 8 over 50 yards), or Jason Hanson of Detroit, also a top kickoff guy and possibly an even better field goal kicker (21 of 22 on the season, 8 of 8 over 50 yards).

Plus Walter Jones is on IR…
Plus I think Derrick Brooks got in on reputation.

Woah really?
There ought to be some rule about that right?
I was wondering if Shawn Andrews might make it on reputation alone, and that perhaps people didn’t know he was playing. How much do people really look into it, especially for offensive linemen?

for the AFC, I’m going with Joe Thomas of the Browns… you know, the one that Trent Cole fucking schooled all day

Brian Dawkins is the shit - congratulations on pro bowl # 7
