I’me with you man, I hate bigotry and ignorance just as much but let’s forget about it for the greater good for now.

What greater good??!!?! There can’t be a “greater good” as long as fucks like that are allowed to spew their bile.

I'll do my gosh darn best.

Just playing Jason you got it.

Dude

I love Sheldon, but he gets burned too often by big receivers.

That should have been picked

Edwards is really getting the best of Brown. Sheldon is doing his best, but Edwards has got great size.

and he decided to start catching the ball tonight.

He is turned around every time and isn’t making a play on the ball at all, and that is no good.

Brown is getting beaten like Brett Meyers’ wife. Holy christ.

reposting from the first half

I don’t know if this’s been discussed (dog needed out), but I wanted to note that on Asante’s TD…
1) He dropped the ball outside of the end zone on purpose.
and,
2) after he picked it up – he celebrated (by himself) like DeSean and Quentin.
I’m behind again (out till next commercial)

He can steal all the X-Boxes he wants so long as he can cover big receivers. Burress won’t be a problem, unless he goes to Dallas and I can see that happening, but Washington drafted two big WRs this year, and Williams is a big dude too.

We have a pretty commanding lead right now. So if we follow the script Reid always claims he goes by… we’ll start to run the game out from this point on. He always says he wants to throw to get a lead and run to kill the game.

I think the Eagles are really good at running out of a pass look.
Shotgun, 3 and 4 wide, but not so much in power situations.
I’m behind on rewinding games (first half of the Cards game), but really feel like the birds are running better when it looks like they’re going to pass.

I think he’s a good role player. I think he showed his limitations as a regular in 2005, but in a limited number of snaps, he’s very productive when he’s in the game.

Interesting that he’s active over Reggie Brown, isn’t it? The seldom-used by functional spare part over the underacheiving “regular”.

(I like Reggie…I wish he’d play better. But right now, DJ, HB3, Avant and Baskett are all playing better in their roles than he is)

He hasn’t won a Superbowl.

Oh Christ now Jaws is on it too. Though it’s a good point about Vermeil.

Finally Jaws gets in that he hasn’t won a championship. It’s been 48 years. The Iggles are eventually going to be the Boston Red Sox of the NFL: the team that’s consistently good, has passionate fans, but can never win a championship.

by ajay on Dec 15, 2008 11:11 PM EST up reply actions

In theory, yes, they could.

I think the rule is: You can switch your first 2 QBs around any time in the first 3 quarters, but if you put the 3rd QB in, you can’t put the other 2 back in unless the 3rd QB (who is the “emergency qb”) gets hurt.

In the 4th quarter, I think you can just go nuts.

by HoosierPop on Dec 15, 2008 11:15 PM EST up reply actions

Yup

C’mon. You’ve heard the song-and-dance the last few years. It won’t be McNabb’s fault. It will be all the injuries, and close games, and bad bounces. We’ll get the soft glove handjob again. And 5 will be back.

I’m starting to think so. 10-6 teams don’t get blown up. 10-6 coaches don’t get fired. The experience of this season is worse than it actually is (sorry, I know that doesn’t actually make sense) because of the way the losses/tie happened and our high expectations.

Yeah

That usually means a 90 yard completion.

Heh

one very good personnel move they made this year. And you can check the Bleeding Green archives from last year for me begging them to do so.

I like Quentin Demps.

I wonder if I can bill Jeff Lurie and Peter Angelos for the years of therapy their teams are going to put me through.

tonight worked out nicely

for me….i was leading by 58 over my opponent who had westbrook and mcnabb. if mcnabb’d thrown 4 tds to westie… dang, and if we’d won, Id be happy the eagles won but… as it is, I got what i needed… an eagles win and not too many points by westbrook and mcnabb. god i feel so conflicted and dirty.

I'm sad that the stands are empty ... we are better then that come on are we aren't Pats fans.

Bad weather, week night, game long over… I dunno I don’t blame people.

by JasonB on Dec 15, 2008 11:30 PM EST up reply actions

time to be a true eagles fan and look at the downside to this game.

they should’ve blown cleveland out by more.
This would’ve been a loss against a better team.

i dont want to

be such a pessimist and agree with u but…. I find myself agreeing with u, damn it.

Not if the defense played the way they did. The Browns did nothing on offense.

The Eagles offense certainly could have done better, but the defense probably couldn’t have.

by JasonB on Dec 15, 2008 11:33 PM EST up reply actions

Not sure it would've been a loss to another team

We put up 30 points and really only gave up 3 (in a real game, Kolb wouldn’t have been in)

Well, I was being a bit sarcastic, but it doesn’t carry over well to the net.

Me neither. I get home at like 3am from a night game.

I wonder if I can bill Jeff Lurie and Peter Angelos for the years of therapy their teams are going to put me through.

its safe to say ...

I’m in a suicide pool pick one team every week to win lose and your out can’t take the same team twice, 3 people left other 2 took the Birds if they would have lost $500 in my pocket … I’m glad I’m not $500 richer. Way to go Birds.

Take the Ravens this week, Whodie!

(No, that’s probably not smart.)

A huge FUCK YOU to Emmit Smith for asking Donovan how it feels to play in this town where fans haven’t wanted him on the team since day 1. (Donovan basically avoided the question)

Thanks a fuckin’ lot, Angelo Cataldi. Once again, your 30 idiots have been used to represent a whole fanbase.
