Cleveland Browns at Philadelphia Eagles Open Thread

Cleveland Browns at Philadelphia Eagles, Dec 15, 2008 8:30 PM EST

Time; 8:30 pm

For a Browns perspective check out Dawgs by Nature

Did you know?

Brian Dawkins will play his 181st game in an Eagles jersey which is a franchise record.

Bottom line

It's a must win, they all are from here on out. The 4-9 Browns have lost 4 straight, we've won 2 straight against 2 playoff teams. We're at home... There's no excuses. The Eagles are overwhelming favorites(+14.5!) and if they turn in the same effort tonight as they did against the Giants they should win this game big.

But as always without our Eagles... we never know what team will step on the field. A big win tonight would show the consistency we've been wanting all year.

I met him and got his autograph … surprisingly shy around fans considering how the media portrayed him.

That was the last run we see on this possession, despite Rodgers going off?

Man, that looks bad for Rodgers.

Pass.

Against a D knowing it was “pass” coming

by HoosierPop on Dec 15, 2008 9:28 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

Dammit, that’s when I want him to pull it down and just gain 3 or 4 yards.

Fuck

hey that was a hell of an INT though.

Ah, yes.

Not only a pass, but a dumb pass. Yay. Much better than manning up and driving the Browns into the endzone. sigh.

Goddammit to hell. If you’re going to make that terrible decision, at least put it where the WR can get it.

by keithk on Dec 15, 2008 9:33 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

you realize they go score a td

and this game is tied…. there is NO WAY we don’t get at least 3 there. unacceptable.

by keithk on Dec 15, 2008 9:30 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

Yes, I'm blaming playcalling

The calls inside the 10 on the last two drives were pass heavy and atrocious.

by HoosierPop on Dec 15, 2008 9:31 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

I don;t know about that. The 3rd down play on the previous drive had LJ wide open but McNabb missed him.

by JasonB on Dec 15, 2008 9:33 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

I hate any play that has anyone but the QB throw the ball. HB options, reverse passes, that play… It leads to bad things far more than good.

by JasonB on Dec 15, 2008 9:32 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

hopefully that gets removed from the playbook … but live and learn.

"I need to do a better job of putting players in the right position to perennially come up short of expectations"

Yeah, that would irritate me less if it was a fake QB draw by McNabb. At least they wouldn’t have been waiting for a trick play.

Samuel peaking in the backfield, gets beat.
