What do you think WILL happen?

Just a question for everyone out there...There was alot of talk last week about Andy getting fired and McNabb being traded (I'll be the first to admit I was down on McNabb). After this last week, one thing is painfully obvious: Lurie will not be firing Reid or Trading McNabb. Lurie has always been an extremely loyal President (almost too much so at times), and I know all the Good Reid and McNabb have done for this franchise will be too much to let either of them go.

So they question is, if we keep Reid and McNabb, then what is the plan for next year?

Do we keep Reid as GM and HC?

Does Reid finally sign a good fullback? anyone know any availible?

What do we use are two late first round draft picks on (I'm gonna go ahead and say one of our picks will be the last in the first round ;-)  ). Is there a running back anyone would like to see the Eagles draft?

Just trying to stir the pot of some more realistic arguing, since I am SURE Reid is back next year unless HE quits.

O, and BTW, my Giants friend invited me to the Meadowlands this weekend. My plan is to go in wearing my Eagles jersey and my Phillies cap so I have something to point to either way.

Is the meadowlands a bad place to be an opposing teams fan? I’ve never been to another NFL Stadium and I just want to make sure I am not going to get beer poured all over me like in the Link.

I’ve been to a couple Eagles-Giants game at the Meadowlands. I wore my colors but tried not to be too obnoxious. Never had a problem.

If I did get beer poured all over me it wouldn’t be a big deal. I would just be sure to wear my Kearse jersey I don’t care about anymore and my old phillies hat.

I got a beer poured on me at

game 5 of the Phils/Dodgers NLCS game.

Technically, that’s assault and battery.

From my experience its bad to be an Eagles fan at the Meadowlands. I didnt have to put up with too much but probably more than say a Redskins fan. Our rep follows us around.

i think it’ll just be more of the same. everybody stays in their current position and they make no significant changes in the off season. thank you sir, may i have another!

one angle: mcnabb's staying, reid might step down

in a move that we thought would never come, reid steps down as eagles head coach and takes over at GM….

Brett Favre (39)
Jeff Garcia (38)
Kurt Warner (37)
Gus Frerotte (37)
Kerry Collins (35)
Jake Delhomme (33)
Matt Hasselbeck (33)
Peyton Manning (32)

All of the above starters are older than McNabb (the last two by a matter of ’months’) – The point? McNabb is a starter in this league – why the HECK would you want him starting on another team for at least another 4, 5, 6 years? Because you want to make the ‘BIG’ changes to turn around a franchise?

Hope they keep McNabb. He’s Philly’s only shot for relevance.

McNabb and Reid both stick around as is…but I think there is an interesting draft and free-agent-signing offseason ahead.

you know yoiu might have a point

in a last secont hail marry type play we might go out this offseason break the bank and do some big moves that us as fans have been demanding for years

i was daydreaming in class today thinking about who it would be fun to have as an eagle and how many big free agents we can sign with our salary cap. i came up with tony gonzales, who shouldn’t be too expensive given his age, larry fitzgerald, and pretty much every other big name player that the typical eagles fan has wanted at one time or another over the last 10 years.

I prophesy Anquan Boldin as a receiver, Kellen Winslow as a TE, and a new OT and Brandon Pettigrew (TE out of Oklahoma State) in the 1st round of the draft. Andy knows he’s gotta take drastic steps after the embarrassments in Cincy and Baltimore.

Correction

either winslow or we take pettigrew in the 1st round

I don't forsee Boldin, why would we rebuilt with a 28 year old receiver.

We will draft one really high, if needed. I’m sure that Kolb will have to campaign for one.

Fitz just got a new contract but boldin is free. and for a TE there is tony G but there is also a possible trade for Kellen Winslow

No changes

I thought McNabb would be gone after this season, especially after the Baltimore debacle. More and more, I feel like the Eagles organization (Lurie and Banner) are smugly satisfied with what they have accomplished and have become stagnant. Lurie loves the NovaCare Center practice facility and Lincoln Financial Field. Facilities and marketing deals are what Jeff Lurie thinks comprise his “gold standard.” I think Lurie says he wants to win, but I don’t think he understands that you have to make shrewd moves within the front office/coaching staff as well as with player personnel. I truly believe that if Lurie was given the choice of fire Banner and win a Super Bowl or keep Banner and never get farther than the NFC Championship game, he’d keep Banner. So I think McNabb, Reid, Banner, Reggie Brown….they’re all coming back.

Now ideally, what I want to see happen is Banner’s power is cut back. They bring in a package deal of Scott Pioli as General Manager and Josh McDaniel as head coach.

Separate the HC and GM position.

Coaches should coach, GMs should provide the talent. It’s a job for two men. We already know Reid has a job next year. Mr Lurie and Mr Banner, decide which job you want him to have.
