Nice start to this half.
First 20 minutes just lulling them into a false sense of confidence maybe?
Good game plan!
anybody's game still
just feels like if we had pocession more, we’d be in control. giants have had the ball for what seems forever.
we’re not stopping them at all offensively. their running and passing freely. its disheartening to watch.
we’re stopping ourselves offensively….as usual
really wish we had that demps return fumble back. he’s determined to make up for it looking at his next couple returns.
4th and 26!!!!
wish we could stop the run better
i was about to jump off of wachovia center but one of akers’ kicks smacked me right in the face and knocked me backwards…
that jacobs must be a horse to take down
i was about to jump off of wachovia center but one of akers’ kicks smacked me right in the face and knocked me backwards…
It’s probably easier if he doesn’t get a full head of steam through a wide-open hole.
But I’m no coach or anything.
Exactly. Any back who gets through the first line untouched is going to be tough to deal with. Jacobs is even tougher… but the problem is the same. We need to stop them at the line. Jacobs doesn’t have the speed or agility to bounce it outside or change direction a ton if he’s met at the point of attack.
Honestly though...
They have Jacobs and Ward
We have Westbrook and Buckhalter
Couldn’t we be doing this if we made an effort? If Andy cared about running the ball?
thats not good what other corners do we have left
i was about to jump off of wachovia center but one of akers’ kicks smacked me right in the face and knocked me backwards…
what injury does lito have ?
i was about to jump off of wachovia center but one of akers’ kicks smacked me right in the face and knocked me backwards…
i dont like plex – gets on my nerve

They might get this call back because his foot may have been behind the line of scrimmage, and it’s only a penalty if your entire body is past. Don’t be surprised if this doesn’t go our way.
Destroyer of Subject Lines :3™
Hey, if the Giants want to take their chances passing
from the 3 instead of running Jacobs, I can live with that.
Defense should really be ashamed of themselves after that miserable drive. Couldn’t get a single fucking stop on third down.
this is unreal. completely unreal. i feel like we are victimized by one or more bad calls every, single week.
No offense
But the refs have not been the problem tonight, guys.
Even if they blew that very important call … wasn’t exactly like they just ended up in the red zone by magic.
YUCK YUCK LEWIS YOU DUM DUM
i was about to jump off of wachovia center but one of akers’ kicks smacked me right in the face and knocked me backwards…
COME ON D -
i was about to jump off of wachovia center but one of akers’ kicks smacked me right in the face and knocked me backwards…
If we don’t get a stop here I think it’s over.
Like I have said before, this team has serious consistency issues on both sides of the ball and special teams. Every week there is a different issue. I wish for once they could play 60 minutes of good football on both sides of the ball.
well
we’ve had some big 4th quarters this year… here’s to hoping for another
ha ha
did you throw it at the tv
i was about to jump off of wachovia center but one of akers’ kicks smacked me right in the face and knocked me backwards…
Eli and their O-Line
used to be their weakness. Now I think those are their strengths.
The blitzes don’t really fluster him and the line is mauling us on run plays.
pressure...
keep bringing it!! they brought it there and it worked. wheres that been all game????
by GreenInBaltimore on Nov 9, 2008 10:54 PM EST reply actions
why didn’t jacobs keep getting the ball there? he could easily have 469 yards in this game if they gave him more carries.
anything other than that pass attempt....
god draw, screen, whatever
Yerp. Nada. How do we have 24 points and how do they only have 30?
Unusual that we are so bad between the 20’s and so good inside of 20 tonight.
wow...
so wheres the ball get spotted?
by GreenInBaltimore on Nov 9, 2008 11:00 PM EST reply actions
no way we’re getting them off the field without giving up more points. actually we might get off the field, but that’ll be because they burn out the remaining 12 minutes on this last drive and take a knee to win the game.
sorry boys, but i just don’t think we have the horses to stop a running attack of this caliber. our linebackers are just a little too green.
I feel an enormous defensive play coming up right here… it just seems destined to happen… we’ll see.
Destroyer of Subject Lines :3™
there was our big play…just too close to the line
by GreenInBaltimore on Nov 9, 2008 11:02 PM EST reply actions
why that
encroachment on a 3 man rush…..stupid

they score another touchdown and were toast

I'd like to challenge Andy making challenges
"This world extends way beyond this little field of dreams we're dancing in and I want to see that world"
If this were the other football
I’d give him a red card
"This world extends way beyond this little field of dreams we're dancing in and I want to see that world"
it would go anyway they called it…..its too close

NOW
there’s a play
"This world extends way beyond this little field of dreams we're dancing in and I want to see that world"
it makes up for the ten bad ones
right? right?
"This world extends way beyond this little field of dreams we're dancing in and I want to see that world"
would we have a choice?
6+ yards per rush will kill this game

Nice
positive thinking at least.
Let me just say now 5-4 is not impressive.
To think they were buried in the division three weeks ago and have a chance to move into second … hate to see that go by the wayside. With the playoffs perhaps.
+1 jackson
i was about to jump off of wachovia center but one of akers’ kicks smacked me right in the face and knocked me backwards…
It's amazing that Andy has been as successful as he has...
…He doesn’t know how to manage the clock or run the ball.
I'd rather hear him
than John Madden
"This world extends way beyond this little field of dreams we're dancing in and I want to see that world"
WHAT A CATCH!
"This world extends way beyond this little field of dreams we're dancing in and I want to see that world"
good score....now..
kick it long and ignore the pass. put 11 in the box!!!!! ok fine…10 in the box and pets put DJAX in the secondary!

I bet you
we end up losing because of our wasted timeouts
I think they might need to onside
because of them.
4 mins. is a lot, 1 TO and the warning … but the thing is they are not going to stop the run anyway, so basically we’re screwed if they kick.
OK, now 4 minutes ...
… problem is the smart thing to do (by the book) is kick here, but the birds are down timeouts and ca’t stop the run.
Andy will kickoff.
i’m actually split on the decision. but i guess you gotta trust your D. no matter how they’ve played

"I think there’s too much time to put the entire game on an onsides kick."
Yeah, 99 times out of 100 I agree.
I just am wary of the Giants 3 runs here.
They had that almost stuffed
and gave up 8 yards.
they are looking at maybe giving up a first at some point.
4:50 though.
I thought it was under 4, my b.
DON'T SCREW US, DON'T SCREW US
they screwed us
B DAWK
i was about to jump off of wachovia center but one of akers’ kicks smacked me right in the face and knocked me backwards…
Kidding me?
"This world extends way beyond this little field of dreams we're dancing in and I want to see that world"
Only murder
"This world extends way beyond this little field of dreams we're dancing in and I want to see that world"
Smart call by Coughling
to take the result.
86 ards in 3:14 … basically for the season
We need this for momentum so much more than the Giants.
+1 CURTIS

This is such an awful game
it’s such a rollercoaster of joy and hate
"This world extends way beyond this little field of dreams we're dancing in and I want to see that world"
When they blitz...
Why do we NEVER throw to the open man in the area WHERE THE BLITZ IS COMING FROM??
They have plenty of time, I agree with the decision to not hurry the play.
Destroyer of Subject Lines :3™
Wow
this game should be shown to all rookies: “Things to not as an Eagle”

All of Reid's
worst faults (challenges, obstinate play calling, clock management) sure were exposed in the 4th quarter tonight.

Or they might not.
Madden's right
We aren’t a running team. The Giants are. And they are the best team in the NFC right now.
soooo.....
playoff hopes at 5-4? any? some? NFC is tougher than its been in a long time

Playoffs? Playoffs? PLayoffs?????????????????????????????
who have we beaten besides the steelrse? andy reid fucking sucks!! fuck that fat mormon pig
well....
we also seem to beat the eagles pretty frequently
by GreenInBaltimore on Nov 9, 2008 11:50 PM EST up reply actions
why Andy Reid doesn’t devote any resources to developing a power running game as an a second mode of attack is beyond me. all the other good teams in the NFL rely on this for success. but as per usual with Andy, he is waaayy slow on the uptake.
it’s true, but it sucks. the formula for success in this league has changed. it’s not 1993 anymore. when’s the last time a team that relies solely on the vaunted “west coast offense” has won a super bowl?
times, they are a changin’. ot appears Andy is going to remain on the wrong side of that curve.
The last team was the Buccaneers
Of course, that one is questionable considering the Raiders never did much to change Jon Gruden’s offense from the previous year when he was the Raiders’ coach. That’s why you had Rich Gannon throwing to Bucs defenders over and over again.
The Broncos won two in a row with a WCO, but they had Terrell Davis and they were committed to the run. But you are right – the pure WCO doesn’t win anymore.
good teams win close games. we beat st. louis, san fran, pitt, falcons and seahawks all by more than 1 score. we lost to dallas, bears, skins and giants by less than 1 score. we have lost 4 games by 19 total points. we are so close to being good…but just not quite there. this is killing me slowly. 1 year of this is tough. 2 years in a row is worth cancelling direct TV’s NFL ticket for….

Giants fan here
who lives in DC, so I’m intimately familiar with both the Giants and the Redskins. You guys are definitely better than the Skins. I really think you’re the 2nd best team in the NFC. This was a tough loss for you, but I can see you going 5-2 the rest of the way and making the playoffs, which is really all that matters (look at us last year). Good luck the rest of the way (except our rematch in the Meadowlands), and please beat out the Cowboys!
