Herremans is back in the game. I guess his punishment is over.

Nice start to this half.
First 20 minutes just lulling them into a false sense of confidence maybe?
Good game plan!

Westbrook just reminded those chumps
to get in the weight room later this week.
Nice effort.

I’m saying. If you would’ve turned this one with 5 minutes to go in the first half, you would think the Eagles are playing a great game.
by D3Keith on Nov 9, 2008 10:14 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
anybody's game still
just feels like if we had pocession more, we’d be in control. giants have had the ball for what seems forever.
we’re not stopping them at all offensively. their running and passing freely. its disheartening to watch.
we’re stopping ourselves offensively….as usual
really wish we had that demps return fumble back. he’s determined to make up for it looking at his next couple returns.
4th and 26!!!!

Somebody woke up!
McNabb is on fire. Time to get BWest touching the ball. Now D’s turn.
by phillynyc on Nov 9, 2008 10:14 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Baskett needs to play more. All he does is catch the ball and block superbly on the outside. Please Andy, play Hank Baskett!!
by MetroGlobe on Nov 9, 2008 10:14 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Yeah. Didn’t resemble the first half at all.
Demps nice KOR. LJ caught a pass. Westbrook runs. McNabb touch pass on the TD to Baskett.

I don’t know why the Giants would bother passing after what they’ve seen so far. Gashing the D.

It’s probably easier if he doesn’t get a full head of steam through a wide-open hole.
But I’m no coach or anything.
by D3Keith on Nov 9, 2008 10:21 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Exactly. Any back who gets through the first line untouched is going to be tough to deal with. Jacobs is even tougher… but the problem is the same. We need to stop them at the line. Jacobs doesn’t have the speed or agility to bounce it outside or change direction a ton if he’s met at the point of attack.
by JasonB on Nov 9, 2008 10:24 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Honestly though...
They have Jacobs and Ward
We have Westbrook and Buckhalter
Couldn’t we be doing this if we made an effort? If Andy cared about running the ball?
by ajay on Nov 9, 2008 10:21 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Even though that’s a first, they are dumb for passing.

by Nah_Roots on Nov 9, 2008 10:32 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
They might get this call back because his foot may have been behind the line of scrimmage, and it’s only a penalty if your entire body is past. Don’t be surprised if this doesn’t go our way.

by MetroGlobe on Nov 9, 2008 10:37 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
really? I usually feel like we are victimized by the inconsistent play of a team that can’t make up its mind if it wants to be good on offense, defense, special teams, none of the above, or some combination of the three.

But the refs have not been the problem tonight, guys.
Even if they blew that very important call … wasn’t exactly like they just ended up in the red zone by magic.
by D3Keith on Nov 9, 2008 10:40 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
that eli over-the-line throw, and then the very next one where Boss dropped it in the end zone – they both point to the fact that we cannot or willnot cover tight ends. they’re so open on us, that it’s as if they have 12 men on the field versus our 11.

If we don’t get a stop here I think it’s over.
Like I have said before, this team has serious consistency issues on both sides of the ball and special teams. Every week there is a different issue. I wish for once they could play 60 minutes of good football on both sides of the ball.
by FuquaManuel on Nov 9, 2008 10:46 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
That’s what I told the Giants fans who were wondering if I was all hyped for this game.
Haven’t really seen my team put 60 together, not sure why I’d expect it now, but if they do, they can beat anyone.

Eli and their O-Line
used to be their weakness. Now I think those are their strengths.
The blitzes don’t really fluster him and the line is mauling us on run plays.
by D3Keith on Nov 9, 2008 10:50 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
I’ve had that thought.
Who would be OC though? Because that’s basically a wash at DC, so the key is who calls plays. And if they dump or keep McNabb.

Oh, this play has “back-to-back” challenge loss written all over it.
by pdxGreen on Nov 9, 2008 11:12 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
sad but true.
Not that the challenges are costing them the game in light of their run defense, lack of offensive continuity, etc.

I bet you
we end up losing because of our wasted timeouts
by keithk on Nov 9, 2008 11:26 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
I think they might need to onside
because of them.
4 mins. is a lot, 1 TO and the warning … but the thing is they are not going to stop the run anyway, so basically we’re screwed if they kick.
by D3Keith on Nov 9, 2008 11:27 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
OK, now 4 minutes ...
… problem is the smart thing to do (by the book) is kick here, but the birds are down timeouts and ca’t stop the run.
Andy will kickoff.
by D3Keith on Nov 9, 2008 11:26 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
